Always love it when the Clay Court season rolls around. French Open starts on May 27th with Nadal searching for his 8th title.

The main tournaments between now and Roland Garros are:
- Monte Carlo Masters (this week)
- Barcelona 500 (next week)
- Madrid Masters (6/5-12/5)
- Rome Masters (13/5-19/5)

Tomic was eliminated last night in Monaco by Dolgopolov and Nadal's gunning for a record 9th straight tournament win. Federer's not competing.

He's doing his own thing I guess. Hasn't competed at Monte Carlo for a few years.

Really looking forward to the French Open. Hopefully Nadal is back to his previous form.

Roland Garros is one of my favourite sporting events of the year, should be really interesting this year.

King of Monaco dethroned. If that final is anything to go by, we've got an epic 6 weeks ahead of us.

Now onto Barca.

I know it's easy to say in hindsight but I can't believe Djoko was at $2.95 to win! Regardless of Nadal's record there they were very long odds for the world #1.

Nadal was a bit off his game obviously and Djoko was his usual self. I reckon Nadal choked big time in that 2nd set, after breaking Djoko's serve to go up 6 - 5 he really should have done better. Instead he loses a love game and gets smashed 7 - 1 in the tie-break. Pretty disappointing.

Interesting to see if Rafa & Djoko go head to head in the French...will Novak's win in Monte Carlo give him a psychological edge? It probably will, but Rafa will be a completely different proposition at Roland Garros imo-he'll win it again this year I reckon.

When they meet should be interesting - semis or final. Rafa deserves to be 2nd seed given his record on clay.
