This seasons North Beach Sea Eagles jersey. Have to say the new WARL badge looks ten times better than the old one.

I'm not sold on canberra and souths being a clash... Mertle and lime are pretty distinct... plus the hoops on the souths strip make it quite clear, imho...
a team with a light coloured home jersey should have a dark coloured alternate (as in sharks sky blue and black, GC light blue and perhaps a sand alternate) white jerseys shouldn't be worn as away strips against the lighter coloured teams (GC, Sharks)

Not really. The vast majority of fans simply don't care.

People like us, who frequent internet forums, tend to pay more attention to little, insignificant things like this, but most fans just couldn't care less and certainly wouldn't want the commission wasting their time with it when there are real issues to deal with.

I tried asking a few fans at a game this week what they thought of the new NRL logo (a 20m wide version was painted on the field). Not even one person had noticed that it had changed and most asked me what it had looked like before.

Of course you could - you only needed to look at the guys with their hands on their heads wondering what the f**k was going wrong to work out which team was Souths.

But green is rather similar to green, so an alternative strip is a rather sensible idea. Especially now we have a salary cap that has evened up the competition. Relying on a team to be utter shite to work out who they are isn't the most sensible option ever mooted on these forums.

I'd like to have seen it use the same old dragon logo in the V that the original did.


As for hooped socks, they actually wore red socks with that jersey.

Fair enough. Didn't know they wore red socks. Every dragons pic (pre merger) have seen are with hooped socks.
