Introducing Timmy's Penrith Junior Rugby League Membership
Monday 18 February 2013 9:41 AM

The Panthers are dedicated to celebrating junior rugby league in the Penrith area, and we want to reward our stars of the future with the chance to win a great prize, simply by becoming a Timmy's member.

For just $25, you'll become a Timmy's Penrith JRL Member, and receive the following:

-2 x adult General Admission tickets to a home game at Centrebet Stadium of your choice
-A 2013 ASICS beanie, Members' sticker, lanyard, season ticket, merchandise discount vouchers, 2013 Panthers NRL team poster, and pre-sales for NRL 2013 finals series.
-Timmy's members are also eligible to enter our ABCOE competition. Simply spend $10 in-store at ABCOE Penrith and you'll go into the draw to win a weekly prize of $500, or $300 cash.

The main drawcard is this amazing prize. Courtesy of Channel 9 and The Footy Show, the Penrith District JRL club which signs the most players as Timmy's members** will win a coaching session at ANZ Stadium with the Footy Show panel, for all their registered players. The vision of this session will be shown on an episode of The Footy Show.

To become a Timmy's member, ask your club secretary for an application form, or go online at penrith.leaguenet.com.au. For all enquiries, phone the Panthers Membership Team on 4720 5575.

This is a great opportunity, so make sure you don't miss out!

**Most players calculated as a percentage of total club players

Grabbed me and the fiance this membership. We hadn't planned on being members for 2013 with the price hike and having a recently born son to consider, but the $60 tickets and sunday afternoon games made it affordable and possible to attend as a family with a 3 month old baby. Just got to hope we get some decent weather for these games. Missed the Panthers/Eels trial due to the weather and not wanting to sit with a baby in that rain. But even if the weather sucked, i'm just glad to be a member and supporting the team.

We were at 4949 on Thursday. So over the weekend I am assuming we past the 5000 mark. Which means we are ahead of the same time last year with a hell of a lot more $$$

Memberships is so results driven and that is obvious. In season 2004 I had 30-40 friends who were members but who are no longer for one obvious reason. They still follow the Panthers but sadly only on Foxtel. They will return but only once we deliver some consistent performances at home and overall. You can argue they are fair weather fans but I understand the frustrations . The Panthers do have a significant fan base but we are not going to see a return to the crowds we enjoyed in 2003 - 2004 until we deliver good footy and good results at home and that is a fact. They were great days with full houses and good atmosphere but we need to provide the product to win the fringe dweller fans back.

Every team needs them. If you want to build a strong fan base you should welcome them in rather than diss them like so many do.

Winning is only one part of the mix. If it was the only thing then every club should save hundreds of thousands and close down their marketing departments.
