Nothing stopping other clubs from doing it - hell call it the derby deal as well and market it towards the club's biggest drawing opposition.

IIRC wasn't the prizemoney a really paltry sum, like somewhere in the vicinity of 10 grand?

Hardly something for the clubs to get there knickers in a knot.

Just to clarify where these numbers come from. They are from old membership threads and articles over the years. There is so many quoted numbers its hard to keep track. Even the 204,361 for 2012 from the daily tele is different to the 210,677 quoted by the NRL in the 2013 strategic plan update.

I?ve got us above last year?s total now. Still 7 clubs below last years numbers though.

22 Feb - 176,634
1 March - 185,093
8 March ? 192,929
15 March - 199,734
26 March ? 204,510

Would be good if we could get
· Parra above 15,000 ? We would then have 6 clubs in that range (only 4 last year).
· Two more teams into the above 10,000 so we only have 4 teams below 10,000 (same as last year).

If the NRL are serious about memberships, and crowds, then they need to clearly define what a 'membership' / 'season ticket' is.

Then they hire an independent, well credentialed auditing firm to ensure all clubs adhere to this policy.

Then the numbers are put up on the NRL website.

Membership numbers, for mine, should be tallied and posted up by the auditor/NRL by Rd 1 kick off.

As for the crowds, with all the freebies, kids jr tix, etc etc clubs pass out...the same auditors should be at each and every game and only scanned tix - members, ticket purchases, jr passes (as defined by NRL once again), go to the match day crowd tally. I've heard some places include bloody Ch 9/Fox employees and catering staff in the crowds...FFS!

And if they - the NRL - establish up their own ticketing company and centralised membership area for ALL clubs as I've discussed in other threads around here, the NRL could take a cut and bank it from ALL ticket sales.

Just a thought.

I would say the DT total is up until July.

The NRL would of counted the whole season (after all the Broncos fair well 3game Memberships and any other club that got a boost in the back end of the year).

Yeah Several clubs did late season promos - I know Canterbury did a "final five" membership in 2012 too.

Great news. Expect another spike if we put on a good show against the dogs.
Yeah well done chooks. There are still some stragglers out there and I know a couple of mates who are still to get theirs.

Really hope we can have a good season as that'll help build on this and start nudging that 15k territory.

You guys esspecially. Huge increase on last year.

I've always felt that Parra couldve always done more to tap the huge base of casual supporters they obviously have. Great work by the club for getting to work on this

* Numbers from old membership threads and articles over the years. Not 100% accurate as there are so many quoted numbers. Even the 204,361 for 2012 from the daily tele is different to the 210,677 quoted by the NRL in the 2013 strategic plan update.

Great numbers here. 209k is unbelievable.

It goes without saying that nearly 25k you-can-take-this-to-ASIC-without-breaching-the-Corporations-Act members from the Broncos is yet another outstanding effort. :D
