Blake Getting Up-to-date for Season 2013

Rabbitohs Ticketed Member Blake McClelland has shown his intention to 'Stand Above the Rest' with his recent purchases from the Rabbitohs online Megastore.
Blake went all out and bought all three of the Rabbitohs' new jerseys for the 2013 season, as well as the new training singlet and training t-shirt.
Blake travels from Wollongong for all of the Rabbitohs' games, and says he wanted to make sure he had the most up-to-date gear over summer.
"I really just wanted to update all of the official merchandise in my collection so I can be ready for next season and to wear it over Christmas," Blake told www.rabbitohs.com.au.
"I like the new jerseys, especially the alternate jersey. I think it's much better than last year's one.
"The red and green V's are something different so I had to make sure I got all three once they were available online.
"I like the extra colour in the training gear too.
"The black looks good but the extra bit of red and green really says 'South Sydney'."
Blake has been a Ticketed Member of the Club since 2011.
"I travel from Wollongong for all of the games. I go to every game," Blake said.
"I can't wait for the new season to start!"
There are new 2013 range items being added to the Rabbitohs online Megastore every week, including the new 2013 home, away and alternate jerseys at the super price of just $125.96 for Members, as well as the new 2013 official training gear.

Phil Jamieson from Grinspoon: Our newest Member!

Phil Jamieson is frontman of the Australian rockband Grinspoon and our newest Member for 2013!
Phil visited Redfern headquarters yesterday to sign up as an official 2013 Member, after Russell Crowe encouraged him to ‘Stand Above the Rest’. Phil has been a Rabbitohs supporter for over 30 years, and finally took the plunge by purchasing a Supporter Membership.
Phil was presented a 2013 Rabbitohs Membership cap and giant card to welcome him to the Club, and he is looking forward to receiving his Membership pack in December and is particularly excited about the bumper sticker!
Now is the time to speak to family, friends, colleagues and clients who you know are Rabbitohs supporters and urge them to ‘Stand Above the Rest’ and join as 2013 Rabbitohs Member. The bigger we become as a Club the stronger we are as a team on the field so please spread the word, and you will be rewarded!
For each new Member you sign up before 31 January 2013 you will receive a $5 Rabbitohs merchandise voucher! Rabbitohs crack 10,000 Members in Record Time!

Rabbitohs Gold Member Raymond Brown from Miller NSW, has become the lucky Member to Stand Above the Rest and crack our 10,000 mark for 2013 in record time for the Club.
Raymond visited Rabbitohs HQ today with wife Karen, and was congratulated by Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire with a giant Rabbitohs Membership card.
Along with Ray, 824 new and 9370 existing Members have shown their ongoing support and patronage by joining us as we strive to reach our milestone of 25,000 Members and chase that 21st Premiership. It is a perfect time to be part of the Club, as we head into a new and exciting chapter.
When asked how he felt about being the Clubs 10,000th Member, Ray said – ‘It’s either myself, or the 5 other members of my family that are the 10,000 Member because I renewed them all at once! The chance to meet Michael Maguire and visit the Rabbitohs training area was something very special for me, I missed out on being the first Member to renew in 2008 by just one so this really makes up for it!’
Ray is a Foundation (Gold) Member of the Club, and has a Reserved seat at all Rabbitohs Home Games with his three generations of family. Ray grew up in Redfern, ‘Just up the road from Redfern Oval – it was a part of growing up, being a Red & Green follower. I have been following them since the early 1950s. My earliest memory is going to Redfern Oval with my dad in the late 50’s and watching the great Clive Churchill.’

Superb stuff. I said if we hit 50% of our target (12,500) by Christmas, we'd be doing well. We'll exceed that at this rate.

Any idea Newcastlerabbit on the equivalent figures from this time last year?

Rabbitohs Membership Reaches Halfway Mark

Congratulations Rabbitohs Members, we're well over halfway to our 25,000 target!
13,059 Members have made the pledge to 'stand above the rest' and join us for 2013 in what is sure to be a fantastic season.
There are more reasons than ever to join us for the season, whether you can make it to games or not. We've launched new Burrow, Baby and Pet Memberships and it's easier than ever to sign up with our new Membership system.
There's even a handy help me choose section if you aren't sure what's best for you!
Don't forget, if you want to get your Membership pack before Christmas, the cut off date to renew is before midnight on Sunday the 2nd of December!

At the end of 2011, we were just over 16k. That was 6k short of 2012's target.

So by comparison, we need to be at around 19k by the end of the month. Given we averaged 6.5k for each of October and November, 6k for December is by no means unacheivable.

Capital Training Institute Signs On as 2013 Membership Partner

Capital Training Institute has shown that they will ‘Stand Above the Rest’ with Rabbitohs Members, signing on this week as the Rabbitohs’ official Membership partner for the 2013 season.
Capital Training Institute is one of Australia’s fastest emerging Registered Training Organisations specialising in a wide range of vocational education and training.
Established in Canberra in 2007, the Capital Training Institute now has training centres in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane, with the Sydney office set up in nearby St Peters.
Capital Training Institute CEO, Matt Sutherland, says he is excited about getting behind the Rabbitohs, alongside the targeted 25,000 Members this year.
“When the opportunity came up to partner with the Rabbitohs and their passionate Membership base, we knew this was something we could not pass up,” Mr Sutherland said.
“We have recently established a very close link with one of Australia’s leading Super XV Rugby franchises as their training sponsor, and we see similar cultural fits around what Michael Maguire is trying to achieve with the Rabbitohs as to what they are implementing at their organisation, and to what we are trying to achieve at Capital Training Institute.
“We specialise in training qualifications in Construction, Project Management, and Occupational Health and Safety, and with 20% of Rabbitohs Members working in the Construction industry, it was a great fit for us.
“We know the Rabbitohs have the strongest Membership base in the NRL in New South Wales, and we know they are the most passionate Members of any team in the NRL.
“We’re very keen to be involved with the work of Souths Cares, particularly in the Schools to Work Transition program, and we are excited to get to know the Rabbitohs’ Members and stand alongside them as we all cheer on the team to higher honours in 2013.”
Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson says the synergies between the Rabbitohs, the growing Membership base, and Capital Training Institute are a perfect fit.
“Out of all NRL Clubs we know our Members best, and we know that our Members work hard at their jobs and even harder in supporting their team,” Mr Richardson said.
“That’s why this is such a great fit with Capital Training Institute.
“They have worked very hard to become one of the country’s fastest growing training organisations and can help our Members, supporters and players in furthering their qualifications and building better and longer careers in their chosen field, as well as providing opportunities for those working within Souths Cares’ employment and training programs.
“We’re delighted to have Capital Training Institute on board for 2013.”
