Depends what you thought his value is.

There are rumours of bids that will be officially handed to Liverpool at the end of the week from the Spanish giants.

From Barca, the offer is said to be Sanches, Pedro and 20mil.

From Real, it is said to be Benzema, Di Maria and Khedria.

I am ok with either, but I would take preference to the Barca offer as it throws additional funds to the kitty.

How many times have you ever seen players swaps ?

Its always talked about in transfer news/rumours but never really eventuates.

I cant see him going to RM, where would he play with Ronny and Bale in the team ?

Barca would probably be his most likely destination as long as any ban he receives does not affect his club footy. That is assuming he leaves Scousers at all. The other issue is will Rogers want to keep him now ?

Dude you'd take the Barca offer every day of the week. Khedira, as good as he is, is just always injured. Benzema I am a fan of, but I'm a fan of having both Pedro *and* Sanchez, therefore the Barca offer is better.

I'm still laughing that after one decent season he's now considered the best player in the PL.

Yaya Toure led his team to the PL he's just a tad bit better. Played twice the games slippy's sidekick did too.

How is everyone always suckered into thinking player swaps will happen. Have any significant ones ever been pulled off?

Suarez is gorn for 9 PL games and 3 CL games.

It is very likely (99.99%) that any suspension FIFA give to Luis Suarez will only be for international games only as it happened during an international match. When he was banned form the EPL he still played international games at the Confederations Cup.

They big clubs that pay their mega stars massive money every week and frankly don't care about international football would not release players for international football if FIFA started to hand out lengthy suspensions that affect their club and the value of their prized assets. The big clubs are more powerful than FIFA or UEFA and those two organisations know it.

I am surprised that NRL clubs accept bans on their players for what happens in rep footy, Manly should not miss Anthony Watmough for 3-4 games because of what he did not playing for him. I can see a time when the clubs get together and say that rep footy suspensions should only be served during rep footy games.
Clubs allow players to play internationals with the threat of injury that is far more common than suspensions.
I think it's because SOO and regular season are both directly controlled by NRL, making it a lot easier to ban players from both forms. With football, you have FIFA, then you have UEFA, and then you have The FA...
FIFA ultimately controls everything.
He will receive 0 games banned from the Premier League.

Liverpool IMO are partly responsible for Suarez's behaviour because they keep enabling him. Everytime he gets in the shit the club defend him, blame the media and pretty much fail to discipline him, it's abit like the naughty kid who keeps getting in trouble at school but the parents don't discipline him at home of course he's not going to understand the severity of his actions

Team in transition, Played more games, better squad and only going to improve. Premier League Champions 14/15

Beat the dippers home and away...so better.

yep, yep, liverpool expected to come 5th or 6th, tiny squad, chelsea had a big squad to compensate for more games, were expected to come 2nd or 1st. You are a clown

Good piece on old bitey here. Pretty much says what you have said here.

"In Argentina, when Carlos Tevez was on strike from Manchester City, a journalist from Buenos Aires told me how many of his colleagues never reported a single word about it because that would have meant criticising, or at least questioning, a player they revered too much. They pretended instead that he was simply on holiday, which, I suppose, he was.
Suárez is treated in a similar way and maybe that is a part of the problem. At Liverpool, they have redrawn the line just about every time he has crossed it. His story last season was put forward as one of redemption, the narrative being that he had learned from his mistakes and decided it was time to show the world it was untrue to think he was a lunatic or, as [ESPN journo Wright] Thompson put it, ?bat-**** crazy?. What actually happened was that he put it on hold. More fool the people who lapped up all that public relations fluff..."
"The problem ? or one of the problems ? is that he is so heavily indulged it actually feels like he has started to believe what he says about it all being the imagination of others. If there is one person around him telling him he needs time with Dr Steve Peters, the psychiatrist at Anfield, we can be sure there are another 100 or so saying he is absolutely fine, and that it is the rest of the world with the problem."

I will say that Liverpool handled the Evra thing horrendously. But with Ivanovic, I don't know what they did wrong? They condemned him, they accepted the ban, and most likely tried to give him counselling. They didn't need to punish him, The FA had already done it...

He actually got a contract upgrade after racial abuse/biting.

The racial abuse happened a long time before he got the contract upgrade. He only got the upgrade because he was playing on stratospheric levels. It's what the vast majority of other employers would do.

Absolute rubbish.

If the club was so eager to bend over backwards for him, he'd have been a Goner last season.
