Very sneaky Nick. Was it not you hanging shit on United for not signing him in a different forum? ;-)

I don't understand why injury reporting in the premier league is so bad. I follow the NFL, and the teams are required to put out an injury report a few times a week, detailing all injuries and their expected time out. If a player then misses a game and they are found to have not reported the injury they are fined I believe.

Compare that to the premier league, a player is subbed in a game and often not heard of for months. I'll use some spurs examples, Lamela last year. Missed pretty much the whole year, there was no proper reporting on what was wrong with him, it was an absolute guessing game. At the moment Walker is injured, been out for about six months, still no idea what was wrong with him or when he will be back. All we've got is one press release from the club saying he just had groin surgery.

Even in the NRL there is good injury reporting, at least we know what is wrong with players and when they are expected to be back. End rant

Transparency seems to be far greater in American sports. Not just injuries but transfers, salaries, all that sort of stuff.

Danny Welbeck picked as the striker for England and leads them to victory.

Is he good enough to be the top goal scorer for a Premier league winning team? I think so. (not saying we will win the league, just that we could win the league with him)

I like Danny a lot. I'm not overly convinced we should have sold him.

But we would not guarantee him time upfront and he wanted to leave, so we move on.

To answer your question, no.
He has played in a league winning team and wasn't close.
A very good player outside the box, very hard working and very skilful.
Not a natural goal scorer though.

If he was, he wouldn't be playing for Arsenal now.
