We were even more shit and didn't deserve to win. It doesn't matter who you put in our defence, they'll still play like shit. They just ball watch, and ball watch, and ball watch.

If you can identify a Chesea fan who thinks Chelsea FC didn't exist prior to the PL era, I'd be more than happy to tell him/her that he/she is quite silly

You missed the point. I was referring to how Chelsea fans (and other fans) ask us how many EPLs we have won, like as if football before EPL doesn't even exist anymore.

That would be like claiming that Chelsea and Liverpool are equal on one UCL each, which would be rather silly

Most people I know consider the timeframe involved to be more amusing that what the league is called

It is silly. The EPL is basically just the first division with a different name to take advantage of globalisation.

It is amusing, but I guess every club goes through their lean years. It could be 20 years for Arsenal before they even know it. Chelsea had a 50 year drought, but it wasn't amusing because no one cared about Chelsea...

True

Regardless of what it's called though, Gerrard hasn't won one

Well, a few of us did

But I suppose if you were happy to wipe out 98 years of existence, you would also be happy to pretend that no fans existed either

f**k this forum is a broken record. We get it. Liverpool fans are history teachers.
Chelsea fans were in the wolf of wall street.

But yeah, had a feeling City would wack them again. They're like our Norwich...actually we have two Norwiches. Norwich and Spurs.

I'll admit, I am one of the main culprits. Sorry.

All good, just gets frustrating. Look at it from a Nuetrals point :)

I honestly don't know how we beat Spurs this year to be honest. It speaks volumes about us to struggle with QPR, Spurs beat them and we beat Spurs comfortably.
Not that I rate the Spurs roster, I think it is crap, but they are playing better than us.

Apart from their first couple of games, they haven't been that great. But if you say that they've been better, we're still above them on the ladder :D

That Spurs game was when almost everything clicked for us. It wasn't a perfect performance because we did have a few hairy moments defensively, but attacking-wise, it was a well-oiled machine and it should have been at least 4-0. It's also no coincidence that our last great performance was when Sturridge played.

On the attacking front, I think it's just going to take a bit more time to bear a lot of consistency, but I have no idea where our defence is going to go. I've concluded that Rodgers is a f**king shit defensive manager.

I don't think it's a 'bogey team' thing

The league is so much more competitive these days, that teams can't afford to be complacent. As we found out on a couple of occasions last year

As nick says, you guys had a particularly good day when you played Spurs. But QPR would have been more switched on this morning than when they played Spurs, because they were playing the biggest cloob in the wheeerld
