Just watched MOTD. Brendan Rodgers is starting to sound like one of those managers you listen to every week making excuses and then.......bang.

Not sure that whufc and particularly Southampton are going to give up the champion's league places without a fight. Impressed by Koeman...

Great defence by West Ham.

And by the crossbar.

They hit the crossbar twice only didn't they?

Once from right in front which was essentially a massive f**k up by city, and the other hit the top right corner of the bar and was never a chance of going in.

What's the 'bang' part?

Can't see them both doing it but one of West Ham or Southampton might hang around long enough to be a real chance for Europe in the final part of the season.

Good to see Arsenal finally get 3 points. For all our drama we're within a win of City.

Lol Liverpool.

And the Hammers just beat City 2-1. Really shaping up as a one horse race at this stage.

A break of serve in tennis means nothing unless you hold your next service game

We still need to win tonight to take advantage

Nice of the pikeys to open the door for us though

Come on dude, every season starts off like this where a mid-table team hangs around the top 4 until around Christmas, and with the way we're playing, that includes us.

Very rarely do you have not one but two teams in the top 4 at the end of October who are not traditional top 6 teams. Go back through the seasons. Almost always after 9 games you have at least 3 teams in the top 4 who will be there at the end of the season. And often you have all 4.

Again I'm not saying Southampton or West Ham will make it, or that it's even likely. Just that statistically speaking, 9 games is a pretty good sample size for a 38 game season.

Especially West Ham who are not there because of a soft draw. They're there after taking 6 points from City and Liverpool.

I'd say both teams only have a 10% chance of getting to Europe (including Europa). But that is still 10% higher than most small teams have at this point.

They struggled with the pressure applied to them on the ball, much the same as liverpool did at the Boleyn.

It's great to watch :)

Oh, with Europa, then you're right. I thought you were talking about Champions League...

I meant to say "Europe (including Europa). Yes 5th for either of them is much more likely than 4th but IMO this season the established order has looked more vulnerable than ever.

Chelsea will win the league, but every other usual top team has looked shit at times. United have no defense, just like Arsenal. Tottenham looks well off the pace. Liverpool are hurting bigtime without Suarez. And City look "meh" surprisingly often.

City is the most likely to wake up and will probably finish 2nd. But I could see every other big team continuing their up and down results. I think you'll find the amount of points the teams between 2nd and 6th get will be the lowest in a long time. Which means a small club who can put together a special season just might shock the world.

United probably deserve their point. A point away from home isn't too bad.

Our worst performance of the season, Uniteds best. Says it all.

Phil Dowd was utter wank.

Nothing probably about it.

We are still to slow and have defensive lapses though. A bit more pace in attack would have been nice.

Rvp needs to do better and if Di Maria doesn't have his worse game of the year then United win.

Dowd is wank, let Chelsea get away with things in mid for the whole game.Ivanovic should have been booked about 4 times, Matic 3 or 4 to.

Surprised he didn't find away of disallowing the equaliser.

Chelsea is just Hazard. Keep him quiet and Chelsea are nothing to special.

lol

12 fouls by United and two yellow cards.

13 fouls by Chelsea and seven yellow cards.

including one for this https://vine.co/v/OhLx9KwB3D6

Not going to mention the first half pen?

That's a booking so what you moaning about. You post like Chelsea play.

Chelsea fouls were when united were breaking so should have been booked (except matic who was allowed to do it all game). Other than that it was for dissent (except ivanovic who was allowed to show dissent several times until dowd did what he should of done earlier and booked him).

What first half pen? There was a moment where terry took Rojo out and that let the ball go to smalling who was battling 50-50 with ivanovic. Nice dissent by ivanovic there also, still dowd let him get away with it again.
