2014 Draw Released - it's gonna be tough

I don't see why we are playing at either venue. It used to make sense but now its just another reason for people to complain. Maybe 1 or 2 games per year at both grounds with Sydney teams at good times. If not all games should simply be at ANZ.

Considering what they get paid to play at ANZ, there must be a pretty good reason that the powers that be haven't done this.

It probably involves looking at past crowds ( that go back longer than 1 year), and actually asking and listening to members say what they want.

Tell me again how Campbelltown can't draw a crowd over 9000 when they averaged over 10000 and Leichhardt had the 2 worst crowds out of the surburban venues? Lol. Imbecile.

And as for your point about getting the crowds to Leichhardt on a Sunday - good. My point for the 100th time is work on getting the crowds to BOTH venues. But equality is something Balmain people seem to struggle with. Like paying half of your obligations to remain a valid part of the Joint Venture.

Yes they have reasons but those reasons are holding us back because there are still these arguments about Balmain vs Wests.

Play at one ground which makes sense financially and is demographically close to both areas and over time hopefully these stupid arguments stop occurring.

Membership packages are flexible where you can buy only Cambo or only LO or only ANZ membership packages. I like to see some post code analysis to see where WT ticketed members come from. You would have to figure if the region around Cambo has the lowest # of ticketed members then it would get the poorest allocation of games. That would make good strategic sense wouldn't it? You don't get people to resign each year by making them travel 50km for a local derby.

Did you mean demographically or geographically?

Geographically.

Personally I'd be happy to split the games within reason and that reason would be that it makes financial sense. The thing is we are still getting so much whinging about where games are played and the right split.

So Danoz blames the tigers side of the JV for the draw?
I'm confused.
No the Club makes the decision as to which games are played at Leichhardt as opposed to Campbelltown and against which teams. This whole debate started over someone commenting that supporters would be happy with the draw or something similar. But only half the supporters would be happy with a draw that favours Leichhardt over Campbelltown in terms of day time footy and bigger crowds that Sydney based opposition teams draw. I am not blaming the Balmain side of the JV for this, it's merely apparent that the supporters cannot see the inequality of it. It is so easy to please the majority imo - share the love.

I think the games are chosen at venues that will get the most $$$ for the club.
Its business mate. fairness isnt factored in.

I think you might be right. I was merely saying that half the supporters are not happy, but the other half of the supporters appear to be a bunch of merkins who don't give a rats arse

Hopefully I am wrong about my last statement. I will amend it and say there is a distinct element of merkinhood amongst one half of the JV that cant see inequality when it is staring them in the face. Hopefully there are also a strong element of this faction that can empathise with the situation.

You are a true f**ktard. The club allocates Leichhardt or Campbelltown which is what this whole debate is about.

Half the joint venture will be unhappy. Is it 4 Sunday afternoon games at Leichhardt against 3 Sydney based teams to ensure a packed house compared to 3 designated Saturday night games at Campbelltown and 4 interstate teams which will ensure half crowds. Even the Panthers game is at Leichhardt this year.

Your first of many hissy fits in this thread

Seems like youre whining about WHEN as well...which is out of the clubs hands.

So glad you wont enjoy next season....I will. :D

Carry on moaning

Some things change, some stay the same. The JV will turn full circle one day and you will understand being on the receiving end.

And you will no doubt always be one of life's losers.

He is originally from the Magpies side of the JV you fool...

You seem to be missing his main point... quit with the "us and them"....

Playing games at LO on Sunday arvos is good for the JV as a whole and will no doubt bring in some much needed extra dollars to the club...

Exactly. . And plenty of old Magpie fans still live in the inner west closer to LO.
