Tell me again how Campbelltown cant get over 9000 people lol.

I'm not sure if you realise that this is the problem. Why are we arguing over this ? Why is it even being discussed ?

So long as we are having these arguments all games should simply stop being played at the traditional grounds.

Did you read the crowd figures? And talk of suburban grounds / playing games at Leichhardt on a Sunday to make a profit are stupidity. Suburban grounds don't make money, that's why we take games to ANZ etc Playing at suburban grounds is for the fans. I discussed it because I am unhappy with how the game allocation was done. As to your solution, good move to decrease memberships even further...

how long do we reference the Wests Tigers as a JV? when will the Wests vs Balmain contest stop? does either side of this argument believe that they could stand alone or support an NRL team without the other?

we have younger supports(myself included) that weren't attached to either side and support Wests Tigers and every time an issue over money or the draw is released all the older supports freak out like it's a civil war. it's very tiresome.

Lets go through the issues.

1. There is still a us vs them mentality when it comes to Wests vs Balmain from certain supporters. You are an example in that even though there is an equal split between grounds you are not happy and will complain about it. To put it simply this issue cannot be dealt with logically - you and others like you will always complain. There is no resolution to this issue.
2. Suburban grounds don't make money. To me there is an easy solution - play all games at ANZ.
3. Memberships may decrease over the short term if all games are played at ANZ. I don't think that this will be a financial loss if it occurs as games at ANZ make money. I also think that supporters will soon change their minds if the team starts winning consistently. Basically I'm not sure if this is even an issue.

My take is that the club is trying to please people like yourself but they will never be able to do so. If you were reasonable and would accept an equal split that would be cool but you're not. The easy solution to me which probably also makes financial sense is to play all games at ANZ.

Go back to my first comment in this thread.

It's only Sunday Arvo's that they can't get more than 9000.

Thankfully they aren't playing any games at that time in 2014.

My advice to you is to get used to Sat nights.

Did we read the crowd figures?

We're they the ones you posted from 2013 with no Sunday games at LO?

What's your point again?

Stick around for 2014.

Please.

Again? You base your statement on 1 poor crowd? Check out the previous years crowds before you embarrass yourself further.

I'm with you Eddy. I'm actually a Balmain fan but have completely embraced the Wests Tigers. It's been 13 years for Gods sake. Are we going to do this for another 13?

Rat it's like this. I embrace the JV. I have said that. I have a membership for gods sake. I would like to see equal day time footy and the opportunity for a decent crowd against a Sydney team when I go to see my team play at Campbelltown. I am IN FAVOUR OF Sunday footy at Leichhardt. Its a great ground to watch the Wests Tigers play Sunday footy. It can be a cold miserable biatch on a Saturday night - just like Ctown. If the situation was reversed and Ctown had all the daytime footy against all the Sydney teams which probably means bigger crowds and better atmospheres, AND it was the club that was in control of the allocation, wouldn't you rather they divide the daytime footy EVENLY??? Not too much to ask imo. If you can't see it, it's because you are not currently missing out imo

Let me start with this - I DON"T WANT THE JV TO DISOLVE.

That said, yes I believe Wests could stand alone now. Their finances are in order, and if they struck a deal with ANZ etc it would mean 6 games at Ctown and 6 games at ANZ they make more profit than only hosting 4 games there plus the Wests supporters are happy with more Ctown games.

Balmain cant pay the bills, and Wests have been propping them up, so cutting Balmain cuts away a dead weight. Just like Manly did with Norths when the Northern Eagles died.

But again - for the rabid imbeciles that won't hear it the first time - I don't want the JV to dissolve. When the Wests Tigers won the 05 premiership a brand was created that appealed to a whole new generation of supporters and sponsors.

If it was managed better than none of this would be an issue.

I'm not arguing with any of that Dan, I can see why you'd be a bit pissed.

I know it's a complicated situation in the boardroom between Balmain and Wests. I just wonder how long this "us v them" cr@p will go on for. I'm in my 30's so still remember both clubs. But there are a whole generation that only know the Wests Tigers.

The same issues are still coming up season after season. Basically until these old dinosaurs from both entities p!ss off, the end is not in sight.

I don't see the issue at all.
Danoz is arguing against his own argument. Wests have control of the board so he should go take his complaint to the weatherman about the lack of daytime footy at Cambelltown.
I'm still at a loss at how this discussion became a us versus them shitfight. Everyone with half a brain knows that games are allocated for the most financial benefit.

I think that is the key - a neutral board room who has the interests of the JV at heart and will try and look after all sides of the JV. To me its simple. If there's 4 of something, give 2 each. If there's 3, then 1 side gets 2 the first year, the other side gets 2 the following etc And before anyone craps on about there is only 1 team, I get that, but there are 2 suburban grounds and both need to be looked after. Both Ctown and Leichhardt have more soul, atmosphere and history than ANZ / SFS etc which we have to play at for the money.

Please do your research. We lose money playing at suburban grounds. Games are allocated there to please supporters nothing else. The only ground we make money at is ANZ / SFS etc. It just makes you look silly when you accuse others of having half a brain when you speak in ignorance.

Hence why you get the shitty interstate night games. No money in it.
Stop turning this into a divisive issue.

Thats not totally true , poor crowds will result in a lose but not a near capacity crowd.
