Souths have already one according to the Media. Souths this Souths f**king that, having to see Ugly as f**k Souths supporters on TV parading around dribbling shit to news reporters. The lols are going to be Massive on Sunday when the Dogs get up.

Tune into SBS and you'll find out that the coverage evens out.

Selling papers is the name of the game and Souths Supporters outnumber Dogs supporters by quite a large margin.

We also have to take in consideration that blanket coverage, whether uneven for one side over another, adds to the growing tension and excitement in leading up to the final day.

And it's also not just about the Dogs and Souths. It's the end of a accumulative effort from all clubs,in all grades from all fans, from all junior grades, from all the mums and dads that help tirelessly for no reward in volunteering within this great game of ours.

It's a day for everyone to savoir.

The only question tomorrow is will souths outscore the bulldogs based purely on highest temp. At the moment it's predicted to be like 33 at homebush.. that sounds pretty achievable

One thing I haven't seen stated is the possibility the Roosters match drained South Sydney. Watching Sterlo yesterday and Mini commented on the 2003 grand final where they had such a big match in the preliminary final against the Bulldogs that they just couldn't stay up and ready for the big one. There's a good possibility that, given the rich history between the two clubs, last week drained South Sydney. Not saying it has, not even saying it means they won't win, I just see it as a reason as to why it won't be a blow out. I don't think they'll play the same football they've played so far this finals campaign, I'll be very surprised if they do.

I don't think there's a respectable Souths fan out there that believes it will be a walk over thrashing.

Of course no one thinks it will be a thrashing. I personally think we should win - i think it will be a bit of a grind until around the 60-65th minute and we will get in a try or two to seal the game.

As for the first part that is a decent point.. i would imagine though if you can't get the emotions up for a grand final.. first grand final for a lot of the squad.. prolly playing the wrong game!

It won't be a thrashing, but physically the team looks in the best shape we've been all season. Players don't seem to be carrying any major strapping. And we know for the Dogs that Ennis is out with Hodkinson and Morris really struggling on bung knees. Further the Dogs have played through three intense finals in a row with no break, so if there is a physical toll mounting up it seems to be in the dogs

I'd only believe that if the Roosters had been severely beaten on the scoreboard.

It's sad when the likes of Mini, whom I have a lot of respect for,try to play down the oppositions win in a Grand Final. It's a way of handling a loss by minimising psychological damage control after they were soundly beaten.

And when you look at the qualifying final, the Warriors spanked the Dogs by 48-22.The Roosters beat Newcy by 36-8.

Panthers beat Brisbane 28-18 then they won against the Warriors 28-20 in a hard fought match.

So both sides had a less than smooth ride to the Grand Final. And Mini must remember, when your team is in the finals, there are no "easy ways" through to the big one.

If your side plays at least two hard matches before the GF,it normally stands you in good stead.

Unfortunately,Easts didn't have the chance to play the big plays when it counted...and we won by scoring three times as much as they did by very smart plays and individual brilliance.

So suck a long one mini.

EDIT:Just a note that 10 years ago,Canterbury played Penrith for the right to play in the GF and won convincingly, albeit the Panthers suffered a horrid injury toll in that match and Wessar going to the bin for 10 mins.

The result was a GF win for the Dogs in 2004.

Will this stat be clipped to the Omen file?

Another thing that's not being talked about is is Hodgkinson .. the guy is limping so bad that he can't even kick goals.

There is no logical reason why the Dogs should win this game. They have their captain out, halfback on 1 leg, shit form (ironic I know given they have been winning), and are facing a monstrous forward pack.

Dogs have 2 good forwards, the bunnies have 9. Graham is going to have to turn into superman if the dogs are to be a chance. T-Rex is capable of 20 minutes of aggression and then he's spent.

I'm not saying the Bunnies are a lock, but there is going to have to be some serious weirdness go on if the Dogs end up winning.

The best thing Canterbury have going for them is Hasler. He's a crafty mofo and if there's anyone who can craft a game plan for an upset it's him. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do.
pretty good assessment for one so young. i just hope j.reynolds has another brain explosion and gets sent off like phil sigsworth.

Shame both teams can't be at full strength but that's the way it goes I guess.

Hoping for a good contest with Souths getting the win in the end.

I will give up my left nut if there is a send off tomorrow.
Any player from either side could kick Shayne Hayne in the face and still get off with a warning and put on report.
