Agreed. I think that Eels jersey looks pretty cool. But I want for the 9's jerseys to look a bit flashier than the standard NRL ones. Meanwhile the Sharks jersey that everyone likes looks shit IMO and is too boring.

Yeh, this is what need to happen going forward.

Every club need to establish an image (South with the red and green bandaged, Dragons red V, ect.)

Clubs can still come out with these new one-off jerseys, but they all need a base image to work off, otherwise they may as well be a new club based off gimmicks.

I think my biggest issue with the Sharks jersey is the sponsors. The NRL Nines logo is the hardest one to see, followed closely by the Sharks logo. They're just tiny and blend into the jersey while the other logos are much bigger and stand out more.

Melbourne Storm is pleased to announce it has entered into a new agreement with long-term partner Crown Limited.

The agreement will see the iconic entertainment brand continue to feature on the team’s apparel, although in a different position to previous years.

This will be the fourth consecutive year the two well-known Melbourne brands have chosen to work together in a mutually beneficial relationship.

Storm CEO Mark Evans paid tribute to the support Crown has shown the club over the last three seasons.

“It is always rewarding to work with high quality and prestigious brands,” Evans said.

“Crown has been incredibly supportive over a number of years and everyone at Storm is really pleased they have decided to continue the relationship.

“They are an integral part of the Melbourne business landscape and we love the association we have with them.”

Crown Ltd CEO Rowen Craigie also commented on the new agreement.
“Crown Resorts is delighted to be continuing their sponsorship with Melbourne’s only Rugby League club,” Craigie said.

“Reflecting on the past three years since Crown first joined forces with Storm, we have proudly watched the team grow and succeed and have witnessed Storm’s vital contribution to momentum the sport of Rugby League has gained here in Melbourne.

“Crown Resorts looks forward to an exciting future with Melbourne Storm and their fans and we wish the team all the success for the upcoming season.”
This bit gives me a bit of hope.

The agreement will see the iconic entertainment brand continue to feature on the team’s apparel, although in a different position to previous years.
By the sounds of it, no longer front of jersey sponsor.

I think the nines jerseys should have a more newer feel to them as the concept is new and its a different concept so to have flashier jerseys for a quick tournament is good.

All the teams need to have a jersey jersey...which is just a jersey that prints the home, away, alt, training, WIL, ANZAC, indigenous, 9's designs all on one jersey.

Here is the 2014 Bulldogs alternate jersey. Not my cup of team, but then again I only own the 1995 jersey these days...

EDIT: A graphic from the Bulldogs email that shows all our 2014 jerseys

Considering we've used the original design frequently in recent times, this isn't a bad compromise in order to sell more merch. Again, jerseys like these push the need to distinguish between a "heritage" and a "throwback" replica jersey.

Don't mind the current focus on lime and blue (as seen here and in the current membership drive) either.

I assume this is a switch to CCC for NSW?
