I honestly don't understand what the big deal is about the Titans jersey.
It really isn't that good to justify so many comments . It's a decent jersey but it isn't that different to the Manly jersey, which from memory has not received the best response on LU over the last 2 years.

Compared to the childish rubbish of last year they've gone with a simple design with great colours.

Could any of you honestly say you would know what team this was if you just flicked on the tv and saw it for the first time?

Whereas here, you can easily see the pink, but the clubs image is still recognisable.

Tigers - cos Harry Triguboff wouldn't allow Meriton to sponsor anyone else. Even my mother in law would know that and she's a Bellevue Hill lady who never watches Rugby League ;-)

Of course, I'm just being a little cheeky. I have to agree that the Americans do the Women in League concept really well in the NRL. I wish we were so rich that we could hold our jerseys in such high esteem and never allow advertising or one off specials that have no links to the club or it's history.

Not sure if they've been posted and commented on, but the new Roosters jerseys for 2014 have been officially released for sale

The away one is quite nice - though I'd like to see it on a player before making a final decision

The heritage one is the biggest missed opportunity since last years heritage jersey. Way too many stripes

What was wrong with replicating this?

We have done it before

and it was our best ever jersey - bar none.

I'm a bit lost, do the Roosters normally replicate British & Irish Lions jerseys?

The Eastern Suburbs Rugby Union team was founded in 1900, right after a tour by the British and Irish Lions

Eastern Suburbs Rugby took the B&I Lions jersey and copied it

When the Eastern Suburbs Districts Rugby League club was formed in 1908 they reversed the colours giving the predominantly red jersey hooped design that was our heritage jersey last season. They then reverted to the original design from 1914

Eastern Suburbs Union club still wear a version of the original jersey that I want to see the Roosters in

Ironically the Roosters therefore get their colours from Britain and not France as everyone would assume with the Cockerel and French design V influenced jersey we wear today

So who's left now? Storm (both, and I assume waiting for a front of jersey sponsor) and Newcastle & Cronulla's away strips. That it?

The 2014 jersey is the same as the first blue tricolours jersey easts wore. It had 8 stripes so it's spot on. I just read too that the roosters wore blue and white bars for 4 games in 1920 and the presidents cup team wore plain black. Now that would make an interesting heritage jersey.

They have real people on their jersey!
They have started a trend now...Glenn McGrath on the WIL jerseys, Aussie soldiers on the Anzac jerseys, immortals on the heritage jerseys

True - but it just seems too busy
Less is more imo

Have to say the saints away strip has really grown on me, but the back is annoying. Why have the broken butcher stripe? Especially without a number, it just looks unfinished. Plain red back would have been heaps better

I agree Doc - it might be better with the number on, but plain would have been the way to go

The front looks quite nice though
