Not sure penrith will use the alternate. Gus only said white jersey with the big panther, not that it was the alternate weve seen. At the very leadt, the nrl logo will be changed for the 9 's logo. But i wouldnt be surprised if its different altogether.

:?

Seems pretty straight forward that it's the alternate to me. All they'd do is change the TP logo to 9's.

I get that people were expecting more unique designs for the 9s tournament, some originality, a twist on the normal jerseys.

But wow I f'n love what ISC has come up with, a bit of art in the design is what I was hoping for. Ive never claimed to be a traditionalist, so something fresh and modern is good. I saw the Raiders one an hour or so ago, and was in love, the Cowboys and Knights is also good, then Dragons & Manly..

Whilst the Roosters and Rabbitohs arent bad, theyre just not very different from what we normally get from them, opportunity missed I say..

Being a Broncos supporter, I am envious of even the most plain ISC jersey, cos Nike doesnt know what theyre doing. The 9s jersey is a vast improvement on the Home & Away jerseys, but still misses the mark for me. Replace the Navy on that Cowboys 9s with Maroon, gorgeous Broncos jersey, Id go without food for a week to have it.

Couldn't agree with you more mate. I love the ISC designs and have no problem that they used the same design for most of their teams either.

As for Nike, when you compare anything that come out of Nike Australia vs Nike US it is a joke. They are sooooo lazy here it inst funny and not just with team wear.

Why wouldn't Gus have just said it was the alternate jersey if that was the case? Rather then describing the jersey in very vague terms?

Not saying it won't be the jersey. But the wording used IMO leaves the possibility it could be different. Especially knowing that clubs tend to like having more jerseys available to sell.

With any luck it is the alternate with only the NRL badge being different. It can be ridiculous when clubs have 5 or so current jerseys for sale each year. We're already at 3 without having released our heritage. That and the 9's would have put us at 5.

This is the worst thing about it!!!!

You look at some of the NFL and College Football gear they come up with; its all amazing. Then you look at there range here and the best they can come up with is a shit stain.

Some would say what ISC are doing is ''lazy''

Maybe, i wouldn't. At least they are actually doing designs that have some detail and appeal. Nike aren't even coming close to trying. The Broncos jerseys and range for that matter has been a joke since 99

Surely VB has to sponsor them

That's the match made in heaven - they're both from Victoria and (insert insult here)

The talk is that it will be Bank of Melbourne. They have neen wanting to sponsor a melbourne sports team since they relaunched the brand a couple of years back and they won't risk all alienating the other AFL clubs by aponaoring one of them. I think the CEO is a Richmond supporter.

I get that repeating the same design on 5 jerseys is laziness, and traditionalists perhaps think the design is horrendous, but it is quite a nice design, and unusual as it goes against the traditional V, hoops/stripes.. Which is why its perfect for the 9s. But it also shows a bit more adventure and imagination by the designers at ISC, whereas the designers at Nike, have nothing to show for it.

I agree that Nike US does most things better, but they also can go quite over the top, but it does show attention to detail. If youre not aware, the Oregon University sports teams get quite a lot of attention from Nike, as Nike is situated in Oregon.. Google Oregon Ducks uniforms, youll soon realise that its probably a good thing Nike doesnt go over the top with the Broncos, but just a lil more attention, or some fan input would go a long way in improving what they do.
