Pace has slowed a little. Over the past two weeks we have added 1,607 members at an average of 115 per day. Which is still pretty good.

If we keep up that pace we should reach the desired 32,000 by around mid April.

Membership All About Family

Thu 27th February, 02:02PM A A

It’s all about family when it comes to jumping on board as a 2014 Rabbitohs Member – just ask passionate Rabbitohs Member Jackie Moshtaghi.
Jackie featured in the NRL’s Membership video during the official launch of the 2014 season last night (Wednesday), while also accompanying John Sutton onstage for the main part of the ceremony.
With a growing group of passionate Members, a hungry playing squad and hope for the upcoming year, season 2014 is the perfect time to join the Rabbitohs Family.
“They’re my boys – we’re like a family,” said Jackie in the video.
“I’m a very proud Souths supporter and I’m proud of where the team have come from and where we’re heading.”
And where we’re heading is towards 32,000 Members. But we need you!

Rugby league fans are embracing NRL memberships for the 2014 season.

For the first time, NRL Club members will have the opportunity to decide how to spend the winnings from two club membership races, with a prize pool of $400,000.

There will be two Club Member Races based on attracting the most new members from the start of the race to the end of the race.

There will be a total prize pool of $200,000 across each race, consisting of $100,000 in cash and $100,000 in advertising grants.

In the first race, prize money will be offered to the three clubs with the greatest increase in their total membership number by Tuesday 20 May.

Race two will reward the top three clubs with the greatest percentage increase in their total membership number, during the same period.

"We are having two races to ensure that clubs with a larger membership base as well as those with smaller membership numbers can compete," NRL Head of Commercial Mr Paul Kind said.

"We thought that it was important to give our club members a say in how they would like some of their prize pool is spent.

"It’s a great way to get the members excited and hear their thoughts on investment.

"Suggestions might include a member’s party, new club facilities, charity donations and interstate travel rewards."

Membership Edges Closer to 2013 Total

With just three days remaining until kick-off of the 2014 NRL season, the South Sydney Rabbitohs are now just under 500 Members away from cracking last year’s Membership total of 27,392 – a number achieved in the latter stages of the 2013 season.
As of today (Monday, March 3rd), 26,922 Members have stood above the rest for the Rabbitohs – over 8000 Members ahead of the second placed Brisbane Broncos. But the race is far from over, with the Club’s 2014 Membership target of 32,000 Members still ahead.
For Rabbitohs forward Ben Lowe, “there’s never been a better time than now,” to hop on board.
“As a playing group, we definitely find that extra bit inside when we know we have our fans and Members out there cheering us along, and that number just keeps getting bigger.”
“Having that growing group of Members definitely sets the tone for this place moving forward and helps us perform – momentum is big part of rugby league and when it swings, that’s when we need you most.
“If anyone’s in two minds about joining up, I’d have to say to definitely get on board. There’s never been a better time than now for us on and off the field.”

The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Membership tally continues to climb to new heights in 2014, with the Club today surpassing 29,000 Members – the highest total in NRL history.
The Rabbitohs continue to lead the NRL in Membership with more and more proud Rabbitohs choosing to Stand Above the Rest in 2014, with every new and re-newing Member now representing a new record for the Club and the game.
It’s an achievement that Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire and his team are humbled by.
“It’s an outstanding achievement,” said Maguire.
“To have so many people coming in board really shows the passion that Souths people have, and that’s not lost on any of the players.
“We certainly feel their presence at games and they help us get over the line. You can’t under-estimate how important they are to us as a team and as a Club.
The new milestone comes just days before Member Appreciation Day – an opportunity for Rabbitohs Members to get up close and personal with their Rabbitohs heroes at the Rabbitohs High Performance Centre, Redfern Oval this Saturday.
“It’s important to have days like that to really bring the Rabbitohs Family together,” said Maguire.
“We work hard on building things on the field, but part of building on this great Club we have is bringing the family together because they all play an important role as part of the organisation.”
