Those numbers are not the best, but didn't he have a shoulder problem early in the year or in the off season? Maybe he is taking it easy :sarcasm:

Agree, considering his team is top of the ladder with a differential of +400 after 15 games - his stats are pretty weak TBH.

I think the difference would be to compare other players stats in his team and other players in his position in other teams. It is possibly difficult to line up stats with the NRL as they could be compiled a different way.

If you look at the stats from the Storm and Manly forwards in the years they were top of the table they looked pretty average too.

Pretty ordinary stats by Mossop but something that isn't covered in most published stats is how well the player wrestles.

Some places record quick play-the-balls (wrestling in attack) as a statistic, but even that doesn't show how the player wrestles in defence.

Plus, as has been pointed out, Wigan is so dominant that they will only be using their props against a set defensive line (i.e. no prop making that second run that usually yields the big metres). Twelve runs a game by Mossop is a sign that he isn't being used to carry the ball a lot.

Lussick's stats aren't great either but he brings a lot to the team in the wrestle. Plus he's a mad bluein' merkin.

don't know about past seasons but jesse bromwich is making 110m + 25 tackles a game atm

Last year when the Storm won the comp he only averaged 96m and 20 tackles, Bryan Norrie averaged even less at 84 a game. But they must have been setting a decent platform despite the lack of metres, probably resulting in less carries as the halves and outside backs took over once in tge oppositions half. Same probably goes for Mossop if he's playing in a side that's top of tge table and +400 for and against. The halves and outside backs would be seeing a lot more ball and the forwards would just be used for carting the ball up their own end and defending in a side which dominates possession.

the storm also have the best spine in the game and best hooker in the game getting best efficiency out of their structures.

we clearly need yardage, we do it tough enough with mannah and ffmm and only go well when those boys are pumping 120m+

based on those numbers, mossop is better served at lock

Missing the point a bit, Craig.

Those numbers reflect how Mossop is being used as much as his ability, the inference being that his stats would change in a different team and playing a different role.

A good indicator of his ability is how well his team is going. Wigan certainly have among the best players in the competition at each position.

Casper, with all due respect to your chosen beliefs and feelings regarding the way the world is managed, surely you are the biggest hypocrite on this forum when you can continue to post like the one above and at the same time have the hide to attack PouPou for his manners and style of posts.

Give yourself an undercut and stop using this forum to promote your non-football beliefs.
Most of us are over it and you are stealing our bandwidth.

Agreed, i'll give myself an "undercut"! LOL.......

Hypocrisy does not change the fact that the information shared is fact/truth.

Have no beliefs, truth does not require belief. Does a child have to first be educated about a tree before the child can sense (touch, taste, feel, smell, hear, see) the tree?????? Only lies require belief - in the middle of the word belief is the word lie and in the middle of the word lie is "i" and "i" is the greatest lie of all. Guess this fact goes right over your head.

Poo Poo was blatantly being offensive, he was attacking the MAN. Sharing views is not attacking the MAN, that's unless you have a multiple personality disorder and the title or theme of the view being shared is who you think you really are, eg, your first name or family name, etc, as in "Christian" or "Jew" or "Liberal" or "Atheist", etc, hence, it feels "personal". Guess this fact goes right over your head as well.
