But Ben Smith is only intending to slow down the opposition ruck so that we don't concede a linebreak on the next play.

If every player intended to reduce the speed of opposition play-the-balls our team would be a better defensive unit.

I agree - as I do with most of what you post Pou. Some are claiming that I only blindly follow the leader and jump on the popularity bandwagon but I think that my support for both you and Casper prove otherwise. ;-)

I enjoy reading your football posts, Casper. I think you have a great football knowledge and a lot of really valuable insights on the game, based on many years of observation. When it comes to your 'political' posts, I agree with a lot of what you say but not all of it. I agree with some of your çonspiracy' theories (quite a few, actually) but not all of them. My take on the world isn't quite as black and white as perhaps yours is , and I think maybe the truth often lies in the shadows between the black and the white. But, overall, I reckon my view of the world is closer to yours than to a lot of others I read here.
By the way, do you reckon we've got a chance against the dragons tonight? It will be interesting to see how Dugan goes.

Of the 4 (so far) signed for next year, Hopoate, Hock, Mossop and Norman, which one is everyone most interested in seeing how they turn out? Each one has a different challenge. Hopoate: how he comes back from two years out, Hock: If he can be aggressive without being suspended every other week, Norman: Where will he play and how will his individual style fit in with Hayne & Sandow? & Mossop: If he will be up to NRL standard. I think he will.

Hopoate for me. He was a super player before he left and I will be very keen to see whether he can re-capture his previous form and if so how quickly.

Being based in Brisbane, I have seen a lot of Norman in the flesh. At his best he is very good. However, he is still patchy and can have periods/games where he takes bad options and makes mistakes. That worries me a little as I would prefer that we had a more consistent and dependable player at 6 next year. However, I guess there is nothing stopping Norman from eventually becoming that player. If he doesnt then Ricky also has the option of putting him at 1 and using Hayne at 6.

Where do people think Norman will play?

Norman will be playing with Hayne and sandow as opposed to prince and Wallace - thus he will have support in putting a brillant play on. This should help him

I'm thinking that Kelly has been 'more consistent' than Roberts was. And Norman will be 'more consistent' than Kelly. All ball players are going to take bad options, I like the fact that Norman has that speed off the mark to get past his man and open up the half gap for the outside backs.

Hoping whoever plays left wing is a real speedster. I assume it'll be Norman then Hock and Loko outside him, so he'll have good options there, we just need a fast man to finish moves off or be ready to chase the grubber in behind.

Stop stirring!

Oh. I was going to wade in with 'well, he's been signed on the understanding that he'll be playing five-eight (which I think is stupid, because how can you promise a player that), etc, etc. But if Mr Gutful is only stirring, well .....
I suppose, apart from whatever promises he's been made, Norman could play five-eight, fullback or lock - making him a very valuable acquisition.
Talking about 2014 new boys, I can't help but wonder how we'd look right now if we'd actually signed Israel Folou. He's turned into a superstar!
And to think that W. Hoppoate was probably considered to have more potential than him when he left the game.

I wasn't stirring.

I agree with Lingard. 5/8 is what has been most discussed but I think given Norman's versatility and the options he provides the team it is not necessarily a given that he ends up there. It is the most likely scenario though.

Defense Against the Psychopath - Stefan Verstappen on GRTV. As more and more studies demonstrating the corrosive effect of psychopathy on government, finance, and business emerge, researchers have begun to explore how our society itself has been molded in the psychopaths' image. Now, one of those researchers, Stefan Verstappen, shares his insights on psychopathy in modern culture. This is the GRTV Feature interview on Global Research TV - http://youtu.be/x9-X85tlHvM

Casper, with all due respect to your chosen beliefs and feelings regarding the way the world is managed, surely you are the biggest hypocrite on this forum when you can continue to post like the one above and at the same time have the hide to attack PouPou for his manners and style of posts.

Give yourself an undercut and stop using this forum to promote your non-football beliefs.
