The Miami era is over. Lebron got 31 on 21 shots with 10 rebounds and 5 assists and he'll get all the criticism. Noone else on his team has more than 13 points. Wade has 11 in the biggest game of his career.

Wade has been a team player but he's not crazy. He is not leaving 40 million on the table. Lebron is gone.

If Lebron couldn't win I'm glad the championship has gone to a classy organization like the Spurs.

Kawhi Leonard has never scored 20+ in 3 straight games until this series and now he is the finals MVP thanks to Bron!

Congrats to the spurs, what a great team.

Wouldn't it be f**king hilarious if the Cavs tell Lebron to f**k off and sign Mello instead...

Mello, Embiid/Wiggns, Irving & Love??

Funny? As in laughing at the Cavs? Every single team except for OKC does whatever it takes to trade for Lebron. 0/30 would prefer Melo. He's past his prime and even at his prime he wasn't Lebron's equal.

It's interesting that a lot is being made of Lebron's lack of a help on offense when the defense was probably what killed the Heat the most. I mean damn the Spurs shot the highest team FG percentage in a Finals since the advent of the shot clock. Heat just had no answers for the Spurs passing and motion.

So happy to see the Spurs win. An organisation with class. Happy to see LBJ lose. Ever since "The Decision" I have come to dislike the merkin.

I think Van Gundy said it well re: Lebron a couple of weeks ago, for someone with such a huge profile whose every move gets over-analysed and criticised to such a ludicrous degree (these finals, cramp-gate etc case in point), if the worst thing he does in his career is 'The Decision' then he's actually done pretty well.

Re: what I said a couple of days ago, Lebron did what I wanted, came out firing and got his team out to a lead. Unfortunately it's a five-man game and the Spurs showed that in a brutal fashion.

I hate to break it to you princess...

But the chances of Lebron returning to Cleveland are not very good.

Perhaps teaming Mello up with Embiid/Wiggins & Irving on top of a S&T deal with Minnesota for Love would be a better option for them.

Spent a lot of his career playing centre, like half almost. Pops flat out said he was a centre in some interviews.

He is certainly one of the greatest ever.

Disappointed with the result of the series, but congratulations to the Spurs, they were the better team and deserved the win.

Now to wait and see what happens with Miami this off-season, can the master Pat Riley keep a contender on the floor?

Don't worry about the Spurs, they will be too old next year lol

Awesome player. All time Legend of the game.

This championship at this stage of his career cements his credentials.

All time great. Tim Duncan is a player that you live to see win. He quietly goes about his business while the likes of Lebron and Kobe are hammed down ur throat.

Where does everybody think patty mills is gonna end up? He def gonna have money thrown at him but he said he wants to stay with the spurs. But if someone comes in offering him a starting spot will he be able to turn it down?

Spurs will probably offering Mills something like 4 year/20mil deal.

He should stay.

Cant see the Spurs forking out $5M a year for a bench player. None of the existing benchee's earn that kind of cash. Tough call for him though, take the money and run if offerred 3-5M or stay and gamble the chance at another ring.... given he's now already got a ring, I'd take the money and run..

He was a huge part of their run though. I'm not sure he'll be offered a starting role elsewhere so it would make sense for him to come back if he isn't.

Ginobili signed 2yrs at $14 million last off season I believe. That would make $8-10 million for Mills look like a smart deal.

If it was to be a 4yr deal he would be taking over as the first guard off the bench in year 2 I would think though.....

We'll see. I think this may be one instance where they try and keep a role player who bumped his price up in the playoffs.

Diaw was on 4.7mil and Matt Bonner 4mil.

Spurs have depth everywhere, except point guard. Tony Parker isnt getting any younger and cant/wont play big minutes so I wouldnt exactly classify Mills as a bench player going forward.

Spurs have some one in Mills who fits and has bought in to the system. Bonners 4mil is coming off the books, 20mil over 4 years is definitely not out of the question for the Spurs.
