Penrith Panthers

1. Matt Moylan
2. Josh Mansour
3. Lewis Brown
4. Dean Whare
5. David Simmons
6. Jamie Soward
7. Peter Wallace
8. Sam McKendry
9. Kevin Kingston
10. Tim Grant
11. Sika Manu
12. Elijah Taylor
13. Adam Docker

14. James Segeyaro
15. Brent Kite
16. Nigel Plum
17. Tyrone Peachey

Finish: Anywhere between 4-10

Top Try Scorer- David Simmons
Top Point Scorer- Jamie Soward

We have a massive squad we should do well this season anything less than a semi final appearance will be a massive disappointment.
I see the full strength side looking more like this:

1. Kevin Naiqama
2. David Simmons / Eto Nabouli
3. James Roberts
4. Dean Whare
5. Josh Mansour
6. Jamie Soward
7. Peter Wallace / Isaac John
8. Tim Grant
9. James Segeyaro
10. Brent Kite
11. Lewis Brown
12. Sika Manu
13. Elijah Taylor

14. Sam McKendry
15. Nigel Plum
16. / 17. Tyrone Peachey, Adam Docker, Matt Robinson, Bryce Cartright, Vaipuna Tia Kilifi, Anthony Cherrington, Daniel Foster, Kevin Kingston, Matt Moylan

I think the 1-15 are pretty much set (maybe not with those specific numbers), with the only real outside challengers being Isaac John and Eto Nabouli. If the guys in front of them aren't firing, they will be pretty quick to be brought in IMO. But if they are... they could be waiting a while if there's no injuries.

The only genuine competition IMO is for the last 2 bench spots. I think Kingston will be in a long list fighting for one of those spots. Maybe not in Round 1, but certainly before too long. I think we will see a couple of second rowers in those 2 spots, with one of Taylor, Peachey or Brown covering Segeyaro at hooker if he needs a break. But if we go for a utility, I think it will be between Kingston, Foster and Moylan.

Hopefully mx's team is the one picked for Penrith

Manu is out for the first few months I think so Robinson gets first shot

Decent team, though lacking experience. Hopefully Keary comes good starting at 5/8. I can see some youngsters taking the bench spots though, there will be pressure on Jason Clark, Joe Picker and Ben Lowe.

Cows to finish 5th but we will miss Matty Bowen big time!

I keep trying to kid myself that we are in a good position for next season, but there are so many question marks over key positions that its another typical boom or bust season for us (which mostly end up bust).

Also, Hall's position might not be so nailed down now that Henry is gone.

I really like the look of that Cows team. Really dependent on whether Coote can stay healthy.

How I suspect the Broncos will line up...

1. Ben Barba
2. Josh Hoffman
3. Jack Reed
4. Daniel Vidot
5. Dale Copley
6. Jordan Kahu
7. Ben Hunt
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Martin Kennedy
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Corey Parker

14. Jake Granville
15. Josh McGuire
16. Matt Gillett
17. David Stagg

Oates + Hodges to be included when fit. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lowrie thrown onto the bench with Stagg playing the utility role either.

Not the team I'd select, but let's be realistic.

Parramatta Eels:

1) Jarryd Hayne (C)
2) Ken Sio
3) Will Hopoate
4) Willie Tonga
5) Ryan Morgan
6) Corey Norman
7) Luke Kelly
8) Tim Mannah
9) Nathan Peats
10) Fui Fui Moi Moi
11) Ben Smith
12) Ken Edwards
13) Darcy Lussick
14) Peni Terepo
15) Mitchell Allgood
16) David Gower
17) Kelepi Tanginoa

I would much prefer to have Sandow in at halfback but I think BA will go with Kelly.

That forward pack is criminally poor.

There's plenty of talent in the back 5, particularly if Loko can stay fit, but they're fighting an uphill battle playing behind that mob.

Hopefully Terepo and Tanginoa go on with the potential they showed this year.

The team I have stated isn't our best 17 but I think that will run out for Round 1 in 2014. I'd give Jnr Paulo another 6 months in Wenty for him to further develop his progression into first grade, once he cements his position we'll be much stronger. As you've said if Loko can get fit then we'll be even better again in the forward pack but until that happens I'm afraid we're stuck with Ben Smith as an option. For this forward pack to be effective I think it will come down to BA's defensive structure he puts into place. Our forward pack is probably 12-14 on paper but if he can instill some belief then we might push closer to the 8, although I'm not expecting much from 2014

4th to 6th with that halves combo?

Good luck.

Also I like how you left out Hoffman ... a silent dig at the Raiders for not letting go of a player that doesn't want to be there. ;-)

Loko when he comes back from injury I think will end up in the backrow. Especially with his knee injuries I think he will have lost a bit of speed

We have a promising back line but light on in the forwards. Hope Kelepi and Peni come along next season because they're the future of our forwards

Also have Pauli Pauli and Junior Paulo waiting as well

Joseph Paulo unless there are injuries I can't see him getting huge game time

I never thought it possible that the Eels could go for 3 spoons in a row, but that is one very weak looking forward pack. Which is a bit of a shame, because the backline is pretty slick and the halves have the potential to be very damaging, especially behind a good forward pack.

But under a new coach some of those forwards could step up and deliver... or be dropped and replaced with guys who can. I think it could be the weakest forward pack in the competition on paper, yet I still have a feeling the Eels will finish between 6th and 12th. On the back of Hayne alone if he keeps up his World Cup form.

I think thd broncos should release Hoffman if he really wants to leave and is that unhappy. If thd reports are BS then I'd have him in thd side on the wing outside Reed.

As for 4th to 6th, I have faith in thd side.
