2014, will the game turn around?

Scheduling and Origin for mine.

Fixed schedule is ridiculous IMO. Titans playing Sunday Arvo games early in the season for eg was diabolical. Broncos every Friday is atrocious.

Origin is awesome, but it sucks the life out of the club comp ( a quick eg is Roosters Dogs being scheduled during that period...probably cost the gate 15k on the night). no idea what the solution is but a solution is needed.

Stand alone weekends.

But for some reason then everyone whines that there is no Footy on. It's almost like you can't please everyone.

That scheduling issue re:Titans is bad scheduling fixed or not.

Is it even 2014 in Perth yet?

Lol, nsw isn't getting a new team, ever. It can't sustain the ones it's got!
Here we go. All those dying teams from NSW. It's inevitable. like the dinosaurs. All we have to do is wait 600 million years for a massive asteroid to plough into the f*cking Gulf of Mexico. And then we can reinstate a club that lasted three f*cking weeks before it went into the financial abyss.

Just f*ck off you negative twat. The game mims fine. But if you want to tweak it -

Get rid of Hadley
Give Brisbane no more than 5 Friday Night teams.
Wait for the pendulum to swing so that Parra, Wests and Saints are strong again
Promote players with surnames other than Burgess or Williams.

Is that true of just lazy stereo typing from fans of other sports.

What about DCE, Thurston, Barba, Inglis, Slater, etc.

It needs to be repeated that the game didn't drop off in ratings to an extent that is being claimed.

Crowds did shrink however, but there are a lot more factors than just ball playing involved in that however.

I still watch as many games as I can. It has to be said however that when the team your supporting is struggling it's difficult to watch other games, IMO.

No it is not, I'm sure that the majority would agree that the little man is being taken out of the game; when one robotic 110kg player can run at him for 20 minutes, only to be replaced by another 110kg robot who does the same.

You named 5; there are 16 teams and previously each team would have 2-3 little natural and highly skilled footballers; so you have another 27 - 43 to go.

I think that's a lazy Phil Gouldism personally. But each to there own.

I dont equate Fifita, Carney, Segs, Hayne, Kelly to robots but whatever floats your boat (and clearly modern League doesn't)

According to this the drop for some of the slots was very significant

I think we always want more and that is not a bad thing. There are exciting players and exciting games but we always want more.

I watch as many games as I can too but find that I'm not on the edge of my seat as often as I'd like to be.

Friday night live in Brisbane - the time slot we all suffer from - was down 8.1%. That should end all this bullsh*t talk of a stupid second Brisbane team that would only even be anyone's second team, and no ones first. It should also make it painfully clear to that watching Brisbane in their baby sh*t jersey, to the soundtrack of Hadley's mosquito voice, is about as appealing as Monas sex life.

What about Gus and Rab's 'nothing better than Sunday arvo at the footy' . . . doesn't include watching it on tele apparently.

Bit much to expect parents wanting to be associated with what went on last year, maybe when a few bigger crowd drawing teams get their finger out we'll see more interest on the box
