Doggies supporters should have really came out in force ... looks like they where too lazy

Based on what ridiculous logic? We lost last week and showed poor form in doing so, and are starting to slide out of the eight.

On the flipside, the Roosters are in a rich vein of form and should be dragging in 20k+ every week. Especially against local opposition.

Hey don't worry as bad as the crowds were, the Raiders are still the winners!

I think that joke's already sailed, bro, but good try. Try a few wacky quips about how Brisbane is getting half as many through the gates as it was 20 years ago, that'll slay 'em!

Given our form and ladder position very very poor crowd.

Another sub 10k crowd at LO are the fans sendimg a message about the ground or the team?

Was at the game and felt like the Roosters crowd did their part. I've never seen such a poor opposition showing from the Dogs. Felt like there were a few hundred dogs supporters max. Very poor

Not much to say really, they're both pitiful crowds. 13k for 2 big Sydney clubs, one premiership favourites.

Also ratings may be marginally up but thay hardly negates the huge drop in crowds. We shouldn't have to sacrifice one for the other.

If that's the attitude fans have it's no wonder we can't improve crowd levels. One loss shouldn't suddenly turn fans away. You shouldn't have to be doing really good for fans to show up. Obviously a team on top of the comp should see crowds improving but a team sitting around the 8 shouldn't just see their crowds plummet.

Bull dust. The ratings increase will easily account for crowd decreases - literally by millions by seasons end. Does not mean its a good thing though.

The Roosters are not a big club, big clubs have fans.

How long have we had Friday night games? it has zero to do with tv and everything to do with sydney and their lazy apathetic fans and uninspiring clubs.

Just watching the CC semi from last night, great atmosphere. Goes to show you don't need massive crowds if your playing games in a modern compact 20k stadium. Smiths Sydney stadium strategy needs a massive rethink.

People will always talk about ratings, ratings are obviously important but lifelong fans and futureplayers are created by real life experiences at the footy.

The NRL and AFL both have problems with stagnating crowds. If they become just about TV how do they get set apart from European soccer?

If young kids today play Fifa video games and only watch sports on tv they have no reason to prefer Aussie codes to foreign ones.

Crowds are vital to the long term health of the game. Imagine if Andrew Johns and Cameron Smith and Jonathan Thurston fell in love with the round ball game as kids. That could happen to the next superstar if more isn't done to attract kids and families to games.
