Highest of the year is on a Thursday. Probably wouldn't have guessed that about 26 weeks ago.

Broncos/Cowboys game next week will go close to a sellout

this should not be considered in any way a great thing.

a single team in a city with a population of 2.3M and a catchment of 3.5M. IT SHOULD SELL OUT. in minutes.

not go close, or whatever. stone cold sell out, 50000+ inside an hr.

Will go very, very, close. Surely. Broncos sell outs rarely pull more than 50,500k there are a few reasons.

Fickle stadium members and those that wont show aren't resold.
Restricted view in the UNLICENSED bays don't go on sale.

Suncorp Stadium should have a option for members to pass up there seat on the week of the match if there not attending. Broncos/Storm is 50k potentially on a Saturday/Sunday. 44k on a Thursday let's see if the 100+ year most hated rivalry can match it tonight I doubt it.

Yeah, I know they should resale the members that don't attend - they only do it for Origins. However, if we win and get a home prelim, it will be interesting to see what happens.

They have opened up upper east for tonights game. Means at least 22k should be there.

- Eastern Upper tickets will only be released for sale for the Anzac Day game or for games with an expected capacity over 22,000

If stadium members don't turn up you will almost certainly find them snacking on a cucumber sandwich drinking Pimm's watching a bunch of fat merkins packing into a scrum for a tally-ho penalty.

Just like when both Prelims are in Sydney they should be "stone cold sell outs".

when have you seen me defend sydney crowds. they are by and large poor. but that doesn't excuse brisbane.

Adelaide, a much smaller place got 53000 last week and will get about that next week for a final. try matching that.

Ahhh:sarcasm:

It isnt hard to have the biggest crowds when yr the only team in a catchment of 2 million plus
The question is are they big enough?

The answer is definitely not;-)
