I Think anything below 30 000 was disappointing yet souths fans along with their players have given up.. There would of been 20 000 Easts fans there tonight so a good effort on our part.

I don't think I have seen fans jump off a bandwagon as quickly as Souths fans. Usually interest is still high after you win a comp.

I don't think I have seen fans jump off a bandwagon as quickly as Souths fans. Usually interest is still high after you win a comp.

But alien saw lots of bumper stickers and merch! He saw lots of merch which is unprecedented for a side that just won a grand final. No other team has ever done that, not even the tigers in 2005 when alien had all that merchandise and you saw it everywhere....

We all know away fans prop up our average significantly.. these same away fans don't bother attending their home games though.. weird.

So we finish the regular season with an average crowd of 15,600. Which is similar to our membership numbers.
This compared to the "premiers", the pariah of the league, the club with 35,000 "members" who finished at 16,600. So for all the hype they only manage to get a 1000 people per game more than the club that gets relentlessly bagged for their crowds. Don't let facts get in the way of a myth.
