Spoke to my family who are all mad League fans and are involved with local footy.

They basically told me that $75 for a grandstand seat (and I use the word grandstand very liberally) was too much of a deterrent.

Hope they don't try that here. They'll be lucky to get 2000.

Tried looking for nrl tickets for the game her but they arent on sale yet.

Had a peek at the afl prices here. 37.50 for a reserved seat. Or 74.50 total for 2 adults and 2 kids reserved seats.

Hopefully the nrl game is at about this level. Cairns level pricing will be a massacre.

If Anzac Day did land on a Sunday the Monday WILL be a public holiday.

Under the Queensland Holidays Act, the Anzac Day holiday is only carried over to the Monday if April 25 falls on a Sunday.

ANZAC Weekend next year will be back to more of a normal arrangement I imagine, 2 Friday, 2 Saturday, 2 Sunday and 2 Monday - those being 4pm Roosters/Dragons and 7pm Storm/Warriors

Depends if channel 9 wants the Dragons game.

If it does we will have 1 Friday night and a third game elsewhere.
I would think they would still want to book Suncorp.
The alternative gives the Reds or Lions are free hit.

A game in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne every year I think is the best bet.

Tickets for the Perth game increased this year
Adult $54 Jnr $39 reserved seat
Adult $37 Jnr $30 GA

Those kids prices are ridiculous, I guess it will still get 20k plus so they can charge what they like.

Yes!

Reds pulled 26,374 yesterday which was massive considering the dreadful Rugby that they have been playing.

Just give us notable opposition.

Where are you referring to?

I wonder who sets the prices because thqt is ridiculous and sending the game down a path were fans are soon not going to bother even thinking about attending anywhere

Doing my comparison of this year's crowds to the equivalent games over the last 5 years.

Round 8 (154k) was 13k up on average (142k). We are now down 41k in total. Over 2009-14, Round 7 has averaged +10k. So it's a slight improvement but we are still a long way behind prior years.

There were 4 positive games this week:
- Roosters vs Dragons +7k
- Broncos vs Eels +5k
- Warriors vs Titans +3k (largest crowd for this fixture since 2007)
- Panthers vs Sharks +2k

These were partially offset by 2 negative games:
- Rabbitohs vs Raiders -4k (smallest crowd for this fixture since 2006)
- Bulldogs vs Wests Tigers -2k

And the remaining 2 games were marginally positive:
- Knights vs Cowboys
- Storm vs Sea Eagles

Next round's par crowd total is 118k.

- Broncos vs Panthers 27k
- Roosters vs Wests Tigers 18k
- Raiders vs Titans 10k
- Sharks vs Warriors 11k
- Cowboys vs Bulldogs 12k
- Sea Eagles vs Knights 12k
- Eels vs Storm 9k
- Rabbitohs vs Dragons 18k

How does this work?

Roosters vs dragons 2014 = 13k. (+22k)
