Doggies had 15k crowd average last season, less members than Parra and now can't even get 30k against there arch rivals, there doing so poorly.

I thought it was a great crowd considering dogs had 22k there minimum. Even eels fans around me said that. Rain shaved possibly 5-10k off the figure too

I love that we think 28k is unacceptable; you only achieve great things if you expect them....

BUT!!!! the double-standards in judgment is mindblowing. The fact that we can call this "terrible" but consider a crowd half this as "expected" is ridiculous.

Cronulla got 8k. The Dogs getting 28k is bloody good in comparison.

In not just talking about Cronulla tonight....

Throughout the year we will have crowds at Leichhardt, Brooky, Campbelltown, etc. of 16-18k and we'll say "good job, guys. its just slightly above waht we always get. Long live mediocraty!!"

But the second we get a standout, all we can do is talk shit. No contribution, no ideas for improving on an already good thing, we just cut our wrists and wait for the next 15k crowd in a suburb so we can tell ourselves again the RL is king....

2004 was a double header... Cannot count it.

Rain definitely effected tonight's crowd, also thought there would be more Parramatta fans, there members got in for free and Haynetrain keeps saying they are the most supporterd club... Missing in action!

Pathetic sub 10k crowd from Cronulla, 2nd week into competition and already a sub 10k crowd. Talk about giving up your team so early into the competition, for such a hard sport rugby league has a soft core from club administrations not getting there house in order after decades of existence to the endless excuses from supporters to not attend.

Brisbane 2 over Cronulla would prevent embarrassing crowds like tonight. Any Shark supporters want to explain such a bad crowd.

The 8:30 KO wouldn't have helped but you cant imagine too many more will be back at Shark Park in a hurry. That 8k was overinflated

Cronulla looked like a qld cup game, but the standard of football was worse.

ANZ should have been a bit better but the weather probably played a part.

Provided the weather holds, Sunday has absolutely everything going for it to be a bumper crowd.

8.35pm timeslot, rain and Broncos bringing stuff all didn't help.Matter of fact we were supposed to get 40,000 to Dogs v Eels' blockbuster both Sydney teams, what happened there?.Couldnt be the rain:sarcasm:.

The Sharks played like crap and the Broncs not much better.Same coach same tactics ,5 hit ups and a kick and Barba did stuff all.

Brisbane with a population of a couple of million gets less than 30,000 average, and they want a 2nd team.

Good job their building some apartments to keep them relevant lol.

Bulldogs ok. Not great, not poor. Let's be honest if we could get 28k to every sydney derby game the crowd avg would be a lot healthier!

Brisbane need a second team, the Broncos aren't the draw they once were although News Ltd and 9 think they are. Brisbane is about 50:50 fans/not fans. A second team will bring a lot to Brisbane in the way of crowd support.

Sydney however is over saturated and it shows when there are sub 10k crowds. Anything under 14-15k should not be a pass mark
