The storm has well and truly passed and should not be a factor on the crowd.

It will still be a factor. People generally decide whether or not they'll go to the game a few hours before the game starts. Given all the heavy rain, people can be turned off on attending a match where everything is wet

As if it wouldn't be a factor, absolute mong you are.

Hey f**kwit stick your head out the door and you will see the storm has passed. Penriths game doesn't kickoff for another three and a half hours.

Gee we have some idiots on this forum and you are one of them.

Looks a good crowd at ANZ.

Good crowd? That crowd is less then Friday! Level 6 is empty (Friday had a lot more) level 4 is less and so is level 1! Lucky to be 35k but I'm sure the NRL will post a larger crowd then the Dogs! Considering the fact the whole day has been beautiful until 30 minutes before kick off (most people would've decided by then) and Friday it was peeing down the whole day, what's the excuse?

Friday was also live on FTA so quite easy for people to decide against going with the weather as it was. Either way, still 2 good crowds and the fixtures should stay and really build this weekend up. In good weather both games crack 50k every year

Crowd DEFINITELY lower than last year's corresponding match.

You tell me whether or not it is lower than Friday's match, and whether the weather has played a role in this

I would agree with you there. We just need the weather man to give us some good weather next Easter.

We got 51k last due to the Jarryd Hayne hype as Parra were 4-2 at that stage and he was carving people up,just like the 74k that Parra got in the 2009 finals was due to Hayne, all of Parra's biggest crowds were because of the great man.

You would have to be pretty fuggin dumb to think that this no Hayne Eels team would beat 51k

Sydney's West so needs a decent 35-40k roofed ground. Both Friday and today would have looked and sounded awsome in such a venue. ANZ is just shite and has no place in club RL. It is one of the biggest issues for the NRL and they need to come up with a strategy that delivers the fans of this great game a suitable venue in its very heartland to watch it in. I dont buy into the "were stuck with ANZ" argument. In the 1980/90's EPL clubs were put on notice of min ground requirements, England now has great stadiums the length and breadth of the country. Time for the NRL, NSW Govt and clubs to get their act together and give the fans and the game a venue worthy of it for weekly club NRL games.
