After how salty Snappy got in last night's game thread I just can't wait for next Sunday.

Brisbane's the favourite and deservedly so but if we play like we have the last two weeks and improve like we have every game....I think Cows could upset.
I see Cows in Broncos fans eyes being dropped from second team to most hated in a matter of minutes after the 80 minute siren if that happens.

The butthurt has started to really fester in the usual suspects.
Its only going to get worse over, the next few years as well.
I can hear these merkins shiting themselves from my place

Assuming there's no key injuries, Cowboys should do it here... at Thurston is the onyl threat, that's just what the media fan boys want us to believe - their spine is at least the equal of Brisbane's

Even match up all over the field - but the Cowboys middle forwards should be able to get a marginal edge

I just hope, either way, it doesn't come down to a ref or video ref going genius

I think the venue is key here. Neutral territory and a ground which is less conducive to up tempo football.

This is about as 50/50 as you can get. The key to the Cowboys is Morgan and Scott. Two players that were passengers last time who are now in good form. Broncos key is the halves composure, can they produce on the biggest stage.

I hope so. I'm sick of this weird Cowboys love some Broncos fans have. Backing them against other teams sure, but being happy for your own team to lose to them is ridiculous.

Would be good to have an actual 2 way rivalry.

Yep, Roosters were the most powerful and big forwards remember?

Hannant is not scary.

Another thing I like about this grand final is that the only cowboys fans i know of that hate the Broncos are on LU. So there is less pathetic haters, just people having a good time.

Hannant tries hard but he also has a dropped ball or penalty in him

Scott Bolton is the gun on the bench

Strange. I'd have Hannant as one of the most in form players in the entire competition.

Glad to see him being under-estimated.

Couldn't disagree with this more.

I don't think any Broncos fans regard the Cowboys as their "second team" - its more a case of, they are Queenslanders, I wish them well. I definitely wont be happy to lose.

I have been to countless Broncos home games and you never really experience that much hate towards other teams. The only time hate is evident is when a grub tackle etc, or against Manly.

If the Cowboys win, it will cement an actual rivalry between the two, I really cannot see any hate forming. Im salivating over a round 1 game at Suncorp regardless of the result.

Cows to do their usual slow start and let Broncos open up a massive lead. Just when you think the game's over, the Cows come home on a wet sail only to lose by four.

Exactly, obviously no one is going to be happy to see their team lose a Grand Final. Second team is a bit much (I definately don't have one), bit a loss to the Cows vs say Manly, as small a consolation as it would be, would certainly reduce the severity of post match grieving and recovery. That just stems from the likelihood that most people wouldn't mind seeing the Cows win a comp at some stage (just not this year!).

I think we already have a solid rivalry with NQ and have for quite a few years (developing perhaps as far back as 04). This will enhance it further with both teams fielding strong teams and playing a similar brand of footy. Not all good rivalries are built purely on dislike and schadenfreude across the board though.

Hardly, I'm sitting in a row with Cowboys supporters

It's a game of football, and it's going to be a great day either way.
