"I wonder how Benny Elias felt watching Thurston kick that field goal?" - Roy and HG (can't recall which one actually said it)

absolute bs.

every try tonight was memorable. so many line breaks with Milford and Thurston playing well. Brisbane's defence was outstanding and it took the most memorable try ever, let alone most memorable grand final try, to beat the best defence I've seen in a long time.
It was memorable only because it was the last second of regular time in a Grand Final that was still in the balance. The Broncos had defended very well but when it really mattered they left their wing completely unprotected, such that all was needed was an appropriate pass and Feldt scored without a finger being laid on him. It was an excellent pass but a very soft try.

The Broncos were very negative in the latter stages, and did not deserve to win in my view.

Civic reception tomorrow afternoon at 1300 Smiles, it's going to be amazing. It will be packed to the rafters that's for sure. Throughout the season, Cowboys have won many games at the death, it's only fitting the Cows do it that style at the GF. The clutch ability the team has show throughout the regular season pays off in the GF.

All the amazing comebacks from huge margins, the perseverance, will, grill and determination of the team was absolutely amazing to watch this season so proud of my team. I think about those supporters who were there from day one who finally see that maiden premiership, to endure all those low points for this moment.

I start watching the Cows when I moved to Townsville a couple of years ago, being apart of the down-times from the get-go (09-10) but I and every Cowboys supporter kept the faith and we got rewarded big time. Just amazing, to think the dreadful 2010 season was only 5 years ago. Time flies.

the broncs were praying for a cowboys mistake because apart from milfrod no one was going up the field. so they played field position. people call that negative but im not sure what else you want them to do? they were obviously f**king cooked and their weak bench showed.

Hodges back was obviously f**ked because he wasn't even running from dummy half tonight, and it showed.

im not sure how you could think that was an ordinary game but all the same I understand what you are saying.

Great Grand Final.

Bennett made a fundamental error towards the end with instructions to kick for touch, players getting tired and it made sense to back your defence at that point. It almost worked but Nth Qld just too unpredictable in their attack, no wonder it had Bennett scratching his head at half time.

Thurston, what a standout. Involved in everything for the whole 80 minutes.

Disgrace on JT. Was involved but made a number of clutch mistakes.

People seem to forget that there really hasn't been a memorable grand final in over a decade. It's all relative, so compared to the last ten, this was a true standout of a game. Best since 1999.

Hopefully JT told Ben Hunt to go and take a photo with Wally Lewis' statue and then come take a photo with him and the premiership trophy

I'm surprised how tired the Broncos were in the last 15 minutes considering they had a extra week to the Cowboys. They were out of there feet yet the heart and grit they show to hold it til the 79.95 min was thrilling and suspenseful.

Cowboys 15 join the Broncos 06/Storm 99 teams who lost in the first week but still won the GF. Doing in the hard way, 20 hard years to get there finally. :D

Cowboys deserved win, great game.

Broncos again probably showed they lacked go forward & with that much sustained territory the Cowboys were always going to score again. Put Matt Scott in Broncos line up and it wouldn't have even been close imo. Twas their achilles heel all season.

However, despite that, the Broncos did incredibly well to nearly snatch a title & with McGuire to come back and Wallace and Joe to come on again next year they will have a much better platform for Hunt & Milford, if they get that right they will be very hard to beat.

Yeah I said there's no way we're going to restrict the Cows but god damn we almost did.

Defence has definitely been our game all year but the constant kicking over the sideline... Man I really feel for Ben Hunt. I hope this doesn't have a negative affect on his game going forward. It was really good to see JT console him at the end of the game, god he is such a player.

Broncos will be fine they got Bennett and a good foundation to build on, I expect Broncos to be in many finals and another GF in the future. Hunt will take time to mentally heal from it but the combo you guys got is premiership potential.

Broncos will Broncos once more and be a final player as they tend to be in there existence. It's apart of the Bronco's culture to be there come finals time so redemption will come around for the Broncos.

Cowboys/Broncos derbies from now on will be on another level now to go from lop-sided rivalry in the beginning (95-03), to being competitive in a friendly manner (04-today), to a heated rivalry (15-). This is the most significant victory in the Cows/Broncos rivalry.

Hunt going defensive in the last quarter trying to ride the clock down cost the Broncos in the end but he will learn from this. Being 4 points down is nothing mentally for the Cowboys team considering they come back from larger deficits. The Broncos should of known that Cowboys have come back from larger margins and should of put more of offensive despite being exhausted. All the constant going into touch just gave Cows possession/time to do what they did, they eventually broke the defense after a lot of ball/time.

Both Milf/Hunt are still young and got tons of time to develop with master Wayne they be fine. :D

Enjoy shorty & Cowboysfury. We didn't defend that final few seconds. Therefore you guys deserved it.

I am numb.
Thanks mate.

It gets better, trust me.
And that Broncos team will be back there in the next 5 years.

Thurston shit himself completely and Morgan wins them the game.

When Thurston kicks this the medal is all his though.

Channe 9 couldn't have scripted this better for themselves if they tried

Did you hear Sterlo after the celebrations praising JT for his role in that try and saying the field goal was the more challenging kick than the conversion  Jesus Christ.

Chin up though. IBM is sad.
