and with that increase by Rabbits NRL members have eclipsed A-Leagues member total for this year
Club Total 14/15 Total 13/14 (as of Rd 27)

Adelaide United: 8,121 (6,415)(126.59%)
Brisbane Roar: 11,794 (8,112)(145.39%)
Central Coast Mariners: 5,655 (5,960) (94.88%)
Melbourne City: 10,494 (7,307) (143.62%)
Melbourne Victory: 23,600 (22,021) (107.17%)
Newcastle Jets: 9,593 (10,115) (94.84%)
Perth Glory : 5,432 ( 5,000)(108.64%)
Sydney FC: 11,180 (10,841)(103.13%)
Wellington Phoenix: 3,834 ( 3,500)(109.43%)
WSW: 18,706 (16,904)(110.66%)

Total = 108,409 (12.72% Growth)

two obvious disclaimers. A-League has 10 teams and NRL has 13 teams with member figures at the moment and A-league is a very young comp where we should be aiming for AFL numbers. it does however put it in perspective when sloth is going on about soccer taking over.

interestingly the A-League membership total seems to be growing at a similar rate as the NRL. around that 13% area.

I buy a 4 game Titans membership every year but they still aren't on sale yet due to the NRL draw not being released.I would say there are a few more like me out there.

I am in the same boat if our draw is crap with mondays etc.... i will be downgrading to a 4 game pass

I have heard that nine and fox are causing the delays though.

not to mention a league punches well above its weight crowdwise, but well below with TV ratings

It's amazing what happens once a dud leaves the club.

Star player leaves the club and coming off the back off 12th,14th,16th,16th,10th and still headed for 25k

No other Club could do this, easily the best in the NRL,bow to us minions.

considering how well the panthers did with members last year it will be interesting to see how their numbers stack up against the eels and dogs.

no team has had that big of an increase in one year. I wouldn't be shocked if the Panthers fell a few thousand. the Dragons and Knights both had big increases that fell the year after.

Let us know if you want a real race this time, don't waste your time on the Dogs.

Haha! Don't waste your time on Roosters still can't get all these supporters sign up as members.

Not loyal as usual some of them. Same old as every year!

Dogs will sign up more than Roosters I agree with Timmah.

RWB you are right however Rabbits20 appears a little backward , but kind.

The simple assumption he ignores is that Roosters may have been very successful in their membership drive.
i.e. they may have signed up all their supporters as members for 2014.
The premiership win in 2013 supports this assumption.

You mean the team that has a couple of thousand more members than yours?

It's still November 2014 - membership figures for next season mean f**k all at the moment because there is still heaps of time to sign supporters up as members. Come round 1 and we still have more members than they do gloat away. At the moment you're just a f**kwit

Something I've heard mentioned that is interesting. Membership has grown strongly but crowds are not growing. So revenue is actually going down. Because what is mostly happening is existing fans are saving money on memberships. It's not bringing in new fans.

Marketing needs to be focused on new fans.
