Our crowds have been number 1 in Sydney two years in a row. Our ticketed figure is impressive.
Ticketed membership figure, not crowds. And I'll explain why below...
Yet our ticketed membership figure (almost 20k) is still more than every other Sydney teams total membership figure. Go figure.
Yes, I'm not saying it isn't strong, I'm saying it's not that impressive when represented as a percentage of your membership... while it's great Souths have found a way to get a lot of non-ticketed members across the line, there's scope for far greater IMO, on the ticketed side.
What is the Souths ticketed membership and why is it unimpressive ? i.e. compare to what?

or is this just another of your throwaway negative bias comments on Souths?
Run along idiot. Not every single comment is to with bias - the sooner you realise that the less people will disregard your dribble.

Wests are up to 7370. The gap over 2014 has narrowed to under 600. We were 6776 on 10 March 2014.

The expected response from a moron , who cannot answer a simple question.

When a moron cannot respond to a couple of questions , they resort to your response , Bully response in a hope to deflect their own insecurities and lack of intelligent arguments.

Since you have not responded with any intelligence , and just abuse like a pussy that you are , well i am happy to RAM you . I have a reason to RAM you , you are a BIAS WIMP.

Anyone who reads your initial assertion , then my question , then your response........they can make up their own minds.

PS i knew you would not be able to answer my question , because your initial assertion was full of bias crap , which you are normally.

PS I am a bias Souths supporter , however hold my view to Souths discussions. You are a biased supporter who tries to impose their bias views by discrediting other teams. You are jealous of Souths plain and simple.

Again , I will hold off stating you dribble crap again and instead ask you a couple of simple questions on your Assertions.

Question1

You are stating that there is room for Souths to have greater ticketed membership .
What is Souths ticketed membership? ( i dunno and i am a Souths supporter)

Question 2
What is Bulldogs ticketed membership? ( as you appear to know Souths # , what is the Bulldogs number?)

Question 3
Given the numbers of total membership , why do you save your comments to look for how Souths can improve their results versus a focus on all the other clubs who results look pathetic in comparison ?

My assertion
You statements on Souths do appear to be a reflection of the tall poppy syndrome , usually associated with jealousy .

Souths are doing a great job, as are Bulldogs and eels. St's travelling ok. Rest are pss poor in sydney. Supposed to be heart of the game. Every club should be able to generate at least 15k members. It's not Aleague ffs.

I'm confused. You sit there admonishing me for insulting, call me a bully, in the same breath as the insults of "moron", "pussy" and "bias wimp".

Make up your mind, who's the bully?

Seeing as you're a fan of answering questions (but ignore them even when I do)...

1. My understanding is based on anecdotal evidence that 2/3rds or thereabouts of the Bunnies membership is ticketed. Meaning around ~10k probably non-ticketed?

2. I'm of the belief (and I'd need to verify but again based on anecdotal evidence here and offline) that teams like us and Parra have between 1-3k max of their 17/18k membership figures as non-ticketed.

3. Based on the above, Souths have the largest percentage of non-ticketed members in the comp. Doesn't mean other clubs aren't struggling and couldn't improve their own side of things...

Your assertion is incorrect - I was hating on South Sydney long before they were remotely successful...

So on number of ticketed members , you really do not know , as i have seen others respond with 20k ticketed for Souths. I do not know , however when and if someone provides a confirmed number for all clubs , however Souths and Bulldogs will do , it could be provide interesting discussion.

Clearly Souths have the largest number of non ticketed members , as they also have far and away the largest number of members.Souths promote membership and have many signed non ticketed members all over Australia and overseas. Clearly the more "non local " members the worse
the % of ticketed vs total members will appear. However this should be a good thing if membership spreads outside of Sydney.

The other point you ignore , is the number of ANZ Stadium members who are also Club members. Clearly an ANZ stadium member who has a guaranteed seat , will never buy a ticketed membership.I for one am a ANZ member ( 5 memberships) so I will only purchase a Souths non ticketed membership. I think there are many Souths members in the same boat and i would have thought there were just as many Bulldogs fans in this scenario.
If so your 1-3k estimate of Bulldogs non ticketed means the Bulldogs have minimal fan base penetration outside of Sydney?

just with this minimal information , Now consider which clubs needs a rocket up their backsides to improve their appeal.

As for you hating Souths , i have no problem with that and have known that from the vary first post i have read from you on Souths. I also dislike many clubs with a passion , however i try to refrain from showing my bias for daily consumption.

Rather just focus on Souths majority of time and general real NRL issues.

I barely post on here every day so I'm not sure where you get that from.

Anyway - above, as I said in my post I've got no doubt many clubs including my own can lift their game in many spaces. I guess I thought after a GF win, Souths' fans would load up on ticketed memberships, but that doesn't seem to have happened - just attracted the passive ones from outside (or even inside) Sydney.

maybe there isn't a massive increase because there was already a large number of members the year before. there is an increase already though from last year and it's only round 2 so it will increase some more. it really doesn't matter what percentage of total members are ticketed members, unless the average home ground attendance is poor. having a lot of non-ticketed members just shows that a lot of fans who don't go to games for what ever reason (location) still want to support the club. i don't see it as a negative thing at all
