"IT'S NOT TOO LATE!"
What a marketing catchcry!:lol::lol:
What makes you say that? I'd like to think there'd be more by now especially after a grand final appearance but we have made increases on last year which is nothing to scoff at.Bulldogs membership total would have to be the most disappointing of all clubs.
Suity
less than $10 a game at ANZ? Why are Tigers fans not snapping these up???? Throws out the cost is an big issue argument for attendance.
at ANZ

I'm not scoffing at all (is that a word?)
It's all about attitude. You don't become a member because you can get something out of it - cheaper tickets, merchandise, etc. That's all just a bonus. You become a member to financially support the club; to play your part. That's what it is all about.
If you took a poll the majority of Souths' members are so because they want to help out the club, keep them financially viable, show their support, give back to the club that gives them so much.
It's the reason we're number 1 in members. Not because we have the most fans, but because our fans understand why you become a member.
No. The reason the Bunnies are number 1 in fans is because they have a smart membership/marketing team. Has nothing to do with their fans understanding why.
Incorrect.
Such a compelling argument - I stand corrected... :sarcasm:
Because they're the ones doing all the hard work - Like advertising, contacting renewing members and the such - To place all the kudos on you, the fans, is arrogance in all its glory.
Who do you think has fostered this understanding? The club was the leader in pushing the importance of memberships to fans, starting seriously back in 2007. I never said all the kudos was on the fans; rather that our fans understand why, thanks to the message the club has been pushing for close to 10 years now.
If other supporters had the attitude of membership as a show of support to the club rather than a benefit to themselves, their numbers could rival the Rabbitohs.
Our memberships have increased every year since privatisation. Results on the field have helped, but we still had 20k members when we weren't in the Top 8.
My point is highlighted in your post - That without all the hard work by the marketing/membership team, the member totals wouldn't be the same as they are today - I'm not having a go at the Bunnies fans by any means - They show some true support to their team, I was more arguing you're point of it being the sole reason for membership success.
I said the reason we're number 1 was our fans understand why you become a member. I never said this was solely due to the fans. Learn to read.
