2015 Membership Discussion

The bulldogs and parra are still underachieving by a long stretch in the membership department. The doggies in particular seem to struggle breaking towards the 20k mark that the bunnies, parra and dragons have broken in sydney. Would like to think a GF appearance would grant a 20-25% increase to memberships by default

Souths recognised the value of memberships well before other clubs, so everyone is still playing catch up in trying to convert their fans to members. Both Bulldogs and Parra only had around 6k members in 2009 so they have almost tripled since then

Souths recognised the value of non-ticketed memberships... their ticketed figure isn't that impressive.

Yet our ticketed membership figure (almost 20k) is still more than every other Sydney teams total membership figure. Go figure.

Why were their no battles this year they seemed to go down well with fans and clubs in the past. If they want to make progress the advert i see on foxsports needs to be shown across the networks

THe battle needs to be from start of memberships going on sale, to xmas or something, which can be promoted closer to xmas to get new members on board (and xmas presents under the tree!). It could also be based on how much of an increase in members signed up rather than overall membership size.

32k and Counting Standing Strong in 2015

Fri 6th March, 03:00PM

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have opened the 2015 season with a bang both on and off the field, setting a new Membership record by passing the 32,000 Member mark while also beating the Brisbane Broncos by 36-6.

Over 32,090 Members have answered the call to 'Stand Above the Rest' as the Club now prepares to take on the Sydney Roosters at our home of ANZ Stadium on Sunday 15 March at 4:00pm.

Every new Member is a new NRL record and there’s still time to become a part of the team in 2015! We need you to Stand Above the Rest as we march on towards our 2015 target of 35,000 Members! Play a real part in getting the boys over the line every week!

Congratulations to the entire Rabbitohs Family on achieving this NRL Membership record - let's see how far we can go.

The Rabbitohs will now take on the Sydney Roosters in their first home game of the season at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, 15 March at 4pm. Tickets are available now through Ticketek.

Bulldogs and Parra have good % growth on last year - both around 20%

Bulldogs are aiming to have 18k members by their round 2 match

Outstanding by Souths. Are they so far ahead of the rest due to always having had a massive fanbase or just being extremely good at marketing memberships and getting people signed up?

the Knights and warriors always surprise me. they seem to have a large fanatical supporter base yet memberships are avg for them both.

What is the Souths ticketed membership and why is it unimpressive ? i.e. compare to what?

or is this just another of your throwaway negative bias comments on Souths?

I'm honestly not too bothered. Just committing to your club is the main thing.

Souths haters are out trying to argue anything they can against our 32k members.

Supporters who can't make games I say then get a supporter membership instead of sitting back on the fence and not taking that step forwards.
