Struggled to even give SOK a wrap on air. Pathetic merkin.the only thing better than SOK's 6 wickets was Warnie's cringing, he really shouldn't be allowed in a commentary box, he is so bias
They would have to be the two most stupid referrals ever.
Now they have none left.
Suck shite.
Lol @ Warne.O'Keefe absolutely killing it.
On some of the flatter wickets, O'Keefe will struggle to be a threat. But on this one he is the best option we've got.
I'm a bit confused about this comment.
India has arguably the best spinners in the world, and are playing on their own doctored pitch, yet a nuffie like O'Keefe is tearing them apart, while we handled their spinners not too badly.
What gives?
He'll create plenty of havoc on days 3-5 on most Indian wickets. He might find it tough in the first innings but Lyon tends to struggle in first innings as well.
It was Clarke, and that pitch was much worse than this one. This isn't a regular old Indian 'turner', nor is it similar to what India have produced over the last couple of seasons* . It is cratered and has had variable bounce and spin from day one. What we'll cop in the later tests (I would think) are pitches that are quite good to bat on for at least a day or two.....no great spin, but similarly no great bounce or pace.
So, when you get a pitch like this, a guy who is accurate, and bowls at the stumps like O'Keefe does pretty well....he doesn't have to vary the delivery in terms of spin.....the pitch will do that. He's been a very good 4th innings bowler for NSW for this reason.
* I think there might have been one other really odd pitch in the last few years.
EDIT: Have a think about who it was that took 6 for 9 for Australia about 12 years ago a pitch in a similar condition.
In one post you say this isn't the old Indian turner, and the next you say they'll want a pitch that turns even less and negates our fast bowlers - hence favouring their spinners even more. Yet, out fast bowlers haven't been dominant here, although they have bowled well.
It's been OUR spinners that have dominated, and not theirs.
Yet, heading off to India, we were considered to be the underdogs in the spin department, and we (O'Keefe mainly - and yes, it is early days) have owned them.
I still ask - what gives?
