Swap Lawrence for Lovett and trust probably what we'lol see. Not really any improvement is there?

That bench lacks a bit of muscle. Ava is the only forward I see taking the ball up hard. I think Chee-Kam is more a back rower like Lovett. We need a prop on the bench to take the place of Galloway.

Look beyond Farah. Brooks, Moses, Tedesco, Cherrington, Simona - these kids create opportunities. They like to take on the line.

Taylor has taken that away from all of them as well and has us playing this one-out-then-midfield-bomb bullshit. The times we aren't forced to do that, we just crab sideways.

Maybe there is a coach who can get these 'kids' back on song and to do what they do best.

OK I'm an unabashed Todd Payten fan and all the rumours about Payten and why he was sacked are just that, rumours, have we ever been told the truth? Anyway, we know how he bought the 'kids' along in the Holden Cup and I'm sure the likes of Moses and Brooks would enjoy being coached by him again. There are only three old boys left now from the days when Payten played in Farah, Halatau & Lawrence which would be a good thing.

Finally, he did pretty well in his new club this year. 1 point off minor premiership, scored 923 points 90 more than next team and 211 more than the Tigers. 2nd best defense behind Penrith.

But that won't happen :x

16 - Lodge (if he hasn't been sacked)
17 - Buchanan (f**k, do we have any other props?)

I just don't think Naiqama, Milone or Hoeter are first grade quality.

Dropping Farah means Halatau will have to start from the bench to cover Cherrington almost exclusively all year. Halatau while reliable, is not someone you want at hooker for 30 mins every week for an entire season.

keep Taylor with all of his KPI's for 2016 ...............as the NSW Cup coach that is.

I agree in fairness thats as close to FG coaching JT should ever get:lol:, if a player is not up to FG he gets dropped to reserves, same should apply for our coach if the club dont want to pay him out.The reggies players may not be happy with this idea but its what's best for FG not the NSW cup:sarcasm:.

Only at the Tigers is the NSW cup side equipped with a better hooker and coach than the NRL side (for 2016)

With your team Madunit can Chee-Kam play centre. I don't know much about the guy but a fella I work with had dealings with him at Canberra and said he is very quick for a big guy.

Could he be a centre? What do others know of him?

Takarangi is a back rower that is more than handy at centre. Could Chee-Kam do that?

It seems we have lost a bit of depth at prop, certainly our bench.

What is the opinion of Dunamis Lui from Manly? He isn't the greatest but I reckon he'd come fairly cheap and does have first grade experience. I think he is off contract and Manly said they don't want him.

Another guy I saw play this year who might worth a gamble is ??? Houma (I think that is how it is spelt). I saw him play in the second division comp and he is a pretty big unit.

I just think we need to chase some size. We seem to get monstered by teams like Easts and the Dogs who all have huge forwards. We have plenty of speed in our backs but never get to use it because we seem to be going backwards in the forwards...we need some grunt.

Is there anyone else out there worth chasing?

We need a coach who isn't an inarticulate deluded juvenile !!!

We also need a chairperson/board who display integrity, initiative & knowledge of the fundamentals of running a rugby league team. Also a chairperson who understands that culture isn't only what goes into making yoghurt !!!

An elusive Centre/ winger who is adept at catching a high ball ; 2 back row clones of the great Gareth Ellis; a prop half as tough as blocker; Brooks & Moses to develop top draw kicking games & sound one on one defence.

Thought it was easier to start a new thread rather than place under the Farah thread.

As if the boardroom would discuss a replacement

I had a look at Brett Kimmorley's interview on the tigers webb page prior to his nyc team winning their first finals game.

He made some outrageous comments about changing the game plan to suit the players fronting up that week. How confusing that would be for first grade after a year of aiming for consistent mediocrity through sticking with a game plan all season that clearly isn't working.

I think that in our situation this is our major problem. Our squad needs some players however I look at the Sharks vs Souths today and I think we can easily play at that level now. We've looked like a poorly coached team way too often this year.

Reported- JT did not do mad monday with the players - he probably did not want another punch in the head. His absence gave the players the opportunity to pay him out in team songs which if true suggest his position is untenable.
I'd assume the WT are in for a rough ride until he departs the club if the players have little or no respect for the merkin.

I'd love to hear some of the lyrics.

Taylor's cloud
Ivan Cleary developed a very close working relationship with Justin Pascoe in their time together at Penrith – and it will be something that will hang over Jason Taylor the minute that results start to go the wrong way for the Tigers.
Taylor is already fighting battles on at least two fronts – Robbie Farah and Marty Taupau – and he needs to get off to a flyer if he gets the chance to coach the Tigers in 2016. It is worth explaining that Taylor has board support, but what is not known is that Cleary and Pascoe, who is now the Tigers chief executive, were so close that they worked together to move Trent Barrett on once he had committed to Manly.
What's more, they did it without the knowledge or the approval of Phil Gould. Ultimately that worked against Cleary. It wasn't the reason he was not required, but it played a part.
Cleary is in the Maldives, quite possibly wondering just how quickly things went south for him. But at some point, as he sits by a pool or dips in the ocean, he will know that Gould's decision was right. And it was one that Cleary saw coming. In fact, a few weeks ago Gould told Cleary that it was time for him to have a break. But after considering that for three weeks, Cleary said he wanted to coach on. But he knew in his heart his time was up.
It's only a small thing, but often they are telling: when Cleary's very promising son was negotiating a new deal with the Panthers, his agent wanted a get-out clause if his dad was no longer the coach. In other words, Ivan knew the writing was in big red letters on the wall.
Gould knows what it is like to be sacked as a coach. He got speared by Peter Moore after winning a comp, and was replaced by Moore's son-in-law, Chris Anderson.
Gould had no such relationship with Anthony Griffin. But he knew it was time for a change. He'd done his research, but only offered Griffin the job on Sunday night. Griffin accepted in a heartbeat.
Gould spoke to Griffin's manager, Wayne Beavis, on Friday to discuss what kind of package would be required and then told Griffin the first year of his deal may not be that great because of the cost of paying out Cleary.
Griffin will relocate this week and he's already had a three-hour tour of Penrith – driven around by Gould. Griffin is as country as his drawl and he loved the rural feel of Penrith.
