I can see perth crowds being smaller this year. People are getting sick of going to watch teams they don't support and still no signs of getting a team here.
I'm going today but the Warriors v manly game next month holds no interest for me.

Do you think they might abandon the Roosters tigers game due to bad weather? Play the game later when they both have a bye weekend.

I don't think it's possible to post pone a game due to the complications of broadcasting rights, plus there has been a few games played in weather similar to this before

U20s has been postponed however

No they won't but they should.

The 20s game has been postponed. Surely it would be in everyone's best interests to play this fixture mid week sometime when possible. I get the TV side of things but in extreme conditions like this they could just have the news early and simulcast the souths game?

Surely if the pitch isn't playable the broadcasters can't expect the game to go ahead. You see some of the pitches up IN PNG on YT and that kind of deal wouldn't be good for the broadcasters.
Im way out west so I'm not sure how bad it actually is in the city.

Drainage at the SFS is heaps better than the cricket ground.

Given that they allowed Dragons and Souths to play in a lake earlier in the year I doubt they'd postpone this one.

I'm heading out to the game.

I'll probably regret it, but This is rugby league in all its winter glory.

Should not be postponed.

a little bit of rain would`nt stop me from going to watch Storm. It is a winter sport

Except it isn't a "little bit" of rain

There's puddles the size of swimming pools all over the ground, not to mention the rain is still coming down heavy

Also road closures etc. I really don't blame anyone for not wanting to go

I am in sadelaide so I don`t really know the extent of the rain you are getting in sydney but it sounds like it is really bad.

That's cool.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. SES are on ABC radio every 20 mins telling people to stay off the road unless absolutely necessary

Just trying to paint a picture. Generally I'm not a fan of the weather excuse but just want to point out to non-sydneysiders that Easts can definitely use it this week.

If it's like the GC yesterday only go if you are getting paid. Those few that went to see the Suns v Swans last night should be given free memberships. Same today with the Sydney NRL games. If you are committee/stupid enough to get out in that, free for a year.

It's pissing down. On the northern beaches we've had about 170 mm in the last 24 hours and at the rate it's coming down we'll have well over 300 mm in 48 hours. It seems to be getting heavier too :\
