This game wouldn't have gotten more than 5k anywhere else either. How hard is to accept rain keeps people away from sporting events?

I was watching it in my clubhouse after footy training and laughed at the crowd. A mate said "how many teams train on thursdays?" valid point, never thought of that.

Look like a pub game with the empty hills and stands, yet it is a professional code. Keeping with the suburban grounds means sub 10k whenever bad weather hits but due to nostalgia and 'tradition' the hills are still there, no other pro competition worldwide would have hills in there stadiums.

3 sides of the ground are grandstand.... hardly 1/4 full so there goes that theory.

The stupidity of hills and Thursday night on display again

Yes, heaps better than being able to read ALLIANZ at the SFS last Thursday.

Well done dragons fans, seriously this team needs to be taken out the back. Oust doust, lucky they hosted the ANZAC clash and Queens Birthday this year otherwise their averages would be right down with the Roosters

Seriously dragons fans , sign this petition if you're sick of the way our club has been run in to the ground. This "crowd" of "5000 odd" represents everything that is wrong with our club

wouldn't it be logical to schedule games at LO beginning and end of season when chance of shtty weather is less? Playing a game mid winter at a ground with no spectator cover is just asking for a low crowd potential. Or is that what the Tigers are hoping for to justify ditching LO in the near future?

It is pretty much the end of the season

* Wollongong is not a suburban ground.
** The hill there exists because the stadium backs on to a sand dune. Testing in the past has shown the east side of the ground unsuitable to hold footings for a stand.
*** 'their' not 'there'.

Been to a few events at Suncorp where the rain has limited the attendance significantly. Even the MCG.

Pissed down all day 2013 v Cowboys, 42.5k.

Pissed down all day 2011 v Titans 31k.

Pissed down all day 2012 v warriors 32k.

While the crowds were affected, limited, not really.
