Ditto the chooks, bit of fibbing there too I think.
not sure about the knights game but the roosters one didn't look fudged, 8-9k looked about right

Yep pre sales were strong till it was allocated to a Thursday. 27k I think, rain predicted.thursday night just kills the crowd the broncos v bulldogs would get
You're desperate aren't you?So you said 18K
& I Said marginally more at 20K
& I'm massively over stating ?
Lol
Ok sure lol
You've had two decent crowds in the last ten years v Melbourne. They're not traditionally a massive draw for you.PS
Don't tell me about what's going on down here &-what we wouldn't have got
I live here & know the buzz the Raiders are creating is making it's Mark.
You don't live here & have NFI.

I also know that despite the "buzz", the Raiders haven't pulled a home crowd over 10k since May.
Chooks got 8760
Yeah it’s weird. It’s like something starts after May that impacts crowd attendance in Canberra.
But somehow tonight's gonna see an explosion in Bruce's population?
Pick a side, man!
We're also traditionally sh*t when we play them.
But TBH I have no idea what to expect tonight.

Knights have got to be kidding. Over $13k is bullshit.
Let's assume the ground holds 33k, that means 1 seat in every 2 1/2 would have to be occupied. No way is that the case, unless every seat was taken in the western stand, that can't be seen by the camera?
Not criticising the crowd, the people there deserve medals for turning up...but 13k, come on.
i have know idea on the layout of Canberra - is the ground easily accessible for fans if they want to get there. Without knowing, I kind of imagine a place like Canberra might pull a Monday crowd, - not huge traffic issues, 7pm kick off not too late, reasonable time to finish work and get out to the game. What would be the biggest deterant for such a big clash like this.
My first visit to Allianz, was a pretty pathetic crowd
Free buses from Central, plenty of parking
Whats the excuse?
Shit crowd at the SFS.. but as i've said before, most people have written our season off entirely, and it's an out of town team. I turned up expecting another flogging and was pleasantly surprised.
No excuse for the time and weather though, it was perfect (on a rainy monday that game with our form would have pulled 4000...).
Again, I don't see the point in charging full price for a low drawing game in a written off season. NRL pricing completely ignores the basics of supply and demand.
$25 would be a stretch for the kind of game that was likely to be
I never said there was going to be “an explosion”, I said I had no idea what sort of crowd we’ll get. The pros would be that Canberra sporting fans are fickle and love to jump on a winner, the Brumbies season has finished, it’s a top 4 clash and Canberra likes a big event. The cons being a Monday night game with a 7pm kick off, no Melbourne supporters, winter is still in full swing here.
I’d hope for 18 – 20k but realistically I think it’ll be around 15k. If it were a Sunday afternoon game, we'd pull 20k easy. Our final home game against Parra next week should get around that.
