2016 Crowd Watch

Part of the problem is that they shifted the NSW Cup and Holden Cup games to the weekend. So there was no incentive to get there early and everyone arrives at once.
NSW Cup games have never ever been played before a Monday night game, so saying it was "moved" is a bit of a misnomer.

Holden Cup had to be moved - almost any time the Cowboys or Storm play Monday nights - because the kids playing it have jobs or study commitments during the week and the travel isn't an option.

Agree that it has everyone arriving at once and is silly although there was some kind of women's league tag I thought?

Just did a few calculations and the current average is at 15,194, with realistic estimates for the remaining games I've come up with an average of 15,300 odd. Hopefully we can get even higher but we should get an average of around 300+ higher than last year, and I think with such an open finals series these crowds should continue.

Wow, I was listening to the first 10 minutes of the game on Triple M and they said a crowd of about 8k was there. It must have filled up quick after that.

It's basically because there was nothing on before the game so everyone rocks up at the same time just before kick off. Happens quite a lot at Brumbies games for that reason. People don't want to sit there freezing their arses off for no reason.

Even with 8000 there was quite a long ticket line at KO the night I went so with this many I am not surprised it took a while to get in. Great crowd, both in numbers and atmosphere and entertaining game. Maybe there is hope for 6 years of Thursday night games after all?

Looks like Ticketmaster now has Suncorp stadium - Broncos 2017 membership renewal is managed by Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster purchasing interfaces shit on ticketek so this is good. Tickets don't include pax details though easier to track sales.

Broncos v Bulldogs is tracking to be about 25-27k... Thursday will cost us 13,000 patrons. Tickets still full price. $90 for sideline, $34-37+ fees for behind the post middle tier.

Joke isn't it. Since the NRL clearly doesn't care about crowds, they shouldn't charge such large prices to attend on shit timeslots.

That game desreves 40k+ imo. Two top four aspirants in a late season contest at the home ground of a one team town. No excuses IMO.

They really need to discount these turdsday night matches, the Nrl need to compensate teams on the proviso the club pass the savings on to their customers.

Bulldogs have traditionally been a well supported team up here too. If it were on Friday night (or even Sunday arvo) this game would have no issues hitting 40k.

I still think it'll clear 30 fairly comfortably.

Haha, well if that doesn't bring in the crowds, I don't know what will!

Heading to ANZ on Monday night, oh joy! Anyone know if you can move around freely inside or if they have stewards checking tickets? I might sit with the Cronulla mob :)

At this stage ticket sales are far behind that of the dragons Thursday night game which got high 29k.

They're pretty stringent tryline to tryline (western and eastern sides), but around the ends you'll find its normally GA and you can move around fine. (111 to 124 and 137-146 from memory)
