Don't get the sense there is even much buildup for the game. I don't generally watch commercial TV so has there even any advertising specifically for it? Heard a little bit on the radio but it was more of a general finals advert

The cronulla game was hyped to incredible levels, it basically felt like a GF build up. This game hasn't been given nearly the same level of attention and as such I feel they're getting less interest from the casual fan.

Still you'd like to think somewhere around 23-24K would be the base for a storm final.

Only one upper tier looks to be selling, I would say more like 18-20k at this stage. Cowboys wont have taken as many fans as we did or Cronulla. Though maybe more random folk will come along due to it being a Final.

There's no AFL in Melbourne this weekend apparently so no excuses for the Storm really.

I received this email from the Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust yesterday. Considering I have never received an email like this before, its a really bad sign for tomorrows crowd.

"You have been invited to purchase discounted tickets to Sunday's NRL final between the Penrith Panthers and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium.

General admission tickets are available for $12, category one tickets for $40 and category two tickets for $30 until allocation is exhausted. Tickets will provide entry to the public seating area and are limited to ten per order.

The elimination match will feature a Holden Cup double-header with the Tigers taking on the Eels at 11.10am before the Panthers and Sharks clash at 1.30pm. The main game will kick off at 4.10pm."

If you were a fan of either team, how could you not immediately buy a ticket, at these price to a NRL Final? Some teams haven't played in the finals in yonks, and people won't go cheer on their team. Madness.

The finals are wasted on some teams.

Good on you Brutus. Probably a big difference between Sydney and meLbourne fans, you get a lot more neutrals attending games boosting the numbers. Must be that tribalism thing that stops it in sydney lol.

Agree I'll wait until sunday to pass judgement but if this game gets under 20K as CC roosters predicts then we have some serious issues. I don't get how you can revolt if you've made finals seems a bit rich

Just had a look, No $40 cat 1 tickets. Kids seniors only, adults is $75.

With Telstra you can get cat 1 for $60

Not sure where you got that price from.

Post before mine, must be just via that members promotion. Which is somewhat OK.
