A crowd of 10.1 k is pretty good for an out of form team, on a Monday night with a heap of rain. I don't know why easts fans should cop it for this when there was a thousand less at the iconic Leichardt oval on a Sunday arvo with far less rain and we are more critical of this crowd?

I actually thought the crowd was around the 12k mark. The western side of the ground looked good. Upper deck was nicely populated.

I saw more people in Souths gear than Penrith gear at the game tonight.

Looking at where the few where huddled you can see why Allianz needs a new roof! Surely it would be better to close the bottom tier and open the top tier on Rainy days?
