2016 Crowd Watch

And yet the average crowd is up by nearly 1,000 per game on the same point last year.

But keep at your pathetic narrative, PR...

Which is great considering how big of a negative Thursday games have been for crowds. I guess the question now is will things still look as good at the end of the year.

I'm of the opinion that Thursday and even Monday games weren't a bad idea. Both have proven to be huge winners in terms of tv ratings. The problem is we haven't really taken measures to improve crowds. I don't think that Thursday's and Monday's have to be as detrimental to crowds as they have proven to be.

I cancelled my season tickets and got GA memberships this year. First time in over a decade. I told the club no hard feelings but the NRL scheduling isn't worth me giving them the money for it.

I just can't get the kids to Thursday or Monday night games with school, work, etc.

BUT...I do watch the Thursday and Monday night games and enjoy them. I wonder how many are in the same boat?

Pleased you are happy with the sporting disaster that is playing games on a Monday and Thursday night and the shifting of our great sport to a mere TV product for the benefit of tv and betting companies.
NRL loves a good sycophant, makes their lives easier.

The deal has been made. Get over it. You don't need to complain about it every chance you possibly can. Just shut the f**k up.

sycophants united. Sadly the deal has been made because there are too many people in RL like you who are happy to keep getting shafted. Such has been the history of our great sport and why it still a mere blip on the sporting scene outside of a handful of regions.

Oh yes, because your continual whinging is making vast changes.

And if you would like to go check, I've been critical of the TV deal since it was signed.

You're just a little bitch.

hark at you keyboard warrior, that time of month?

I am pleased that not all of us just roll over when the NRL sets off down a road that fcks the game and fans. Hopefully more people will "whinge" then we may see our game stop making dumb ass decisions, like playing games on Thursday and Mondays or 6pm Fridays.

I'm doing the same next season, just gona cancel the whole thing. With work commitments I just can't make the Thursday & Monday night games anymore. Friday is hard enough to get there but monday and thursday are becoming impossible.

Whats the point if you cant even make 1/2 the games.

Does anybody have the latest PAX for Origin game 1?

I wonder if they will discount tickets this year like they did last year.

f**k you're dumb too.

Don't know how much more obvious I need to make it. A good portion of your points are valid and agreeable. It's your constant whinging and harping on about them which makes you a little bitch.

LOL, because you don't 'fight the power' you're a sycophant.

This age of everyone having an opinion has created a ridiculous black and white world where everyone must be pigeon holed.

How about we accept that things this year have improved slightly and still acknowledge the NRL has plenty of work to do?

Constantly criticising them because their expansion plans don't suit your pathetic agenda is beyond ridiculous. Temper your criticism sometimes and you might get more traction.

Already started selling various other parts of the stadium in category bronze. Two for one offer for telstra customers still going I think, not sure.

What's the crowd in Game 3 if Qld go two up?

40s? 50s at a stretch.

Last dead rubber at ANZ still got 62,000
ANZs average for origin is near 76,000

It'll be 80,000 for next week

Wonder how the Qlders would be going if they'd lost 9 of the last 10 series
I spose we'll find out in 2026

If they're discounting Platinum tickets again to $50 I'll go, otherwise not at those prices. I see you're still quite active here SLR...
Broncos doing very well this year mate...
I've only managed to go to 2 games in total this year because of work commitments...

You flying down again? Got you Game 2 tix?

Is Canberra in NSW?

I don't care about origin all that much but think RD might actually be right. Origin would be dead and gone as a concept if QLD had lost 9/10. No doubt that the old school, take down sydney mentality of the 80s was very cool but today it's just expectation dressed up as passion.

QLD origin crowds are the most overrated myth in world sport. Blatchy's mob are just as bad but no-one rates em enough for them to be overrated.
