Townsville is between Cairns and Mackay/Rocky etc, these take 4 hours to get to the stadium, on a weekday you can assume this is going to be somewhat more difficult.
Add to that the sh*tty weather and then the fact that the employment rate up there is pretty ordinary, you're going to get crap crowds.

It is what it is unfortunately.

Crowd looks crap lets hope it builds up quickly before the whistle

I heard Greenburg say today that he wanted more people at the grounds and he also acknowledged the current schedule with Thursday and Monday does not help that. Imo his tone when talking about the schedule sounded like he wanted change, so who knows we might get a fan friendly schedule in his tenure

Edit
Looks better at kickoff but would only be mid 20's

Another year of crowds dropping might insult force their hand. If the start of this year is anything to go by it could be a big drop as well.

Looking bigger at every glance, might nudge 30k. Shouldnt be any less than 30k really, barring end of the world cronulla v aouths 2015 type weather

Reserved seating at Suncorp for next weeks GF rematch are basically sold out. About 100 seats left in white, about 100 in white unlicensed.

Restricted view will be put on sale soon.

Capacity decreased for general admission bays will keep the crowd around the 44,000 figure.

8,000,000 viewers in the first two rounds according to Grant when he introduced Greenberg as new CEO...

I think 10,000 were from Perth ( collectively...)

How many of those Thursday night compared to the second Friday game previous years?

I'm shocked all these 4:30pm kick offs are not drawing a tv audience in Perth, really I am!

I think the 10,000 Perth audience actually represents an increase...

Errr, while daylight savings is in effect, Perth kickoff time is around 5:10pm, but nice try.

Once DST is over it'll be 5:50pm. Both much more favourable than the liberty you just took.

Either way this is the crowd thread...

What does this mean? Suncorp never has GA.

Bronco's brought in GA bays three years ago.

Category maroon GA bay - section318
Category blue GA bays - section 326 and section 604, the double bay.
Category white GA bays - sections 529 - 535.

They only sell 80% of the seats available in these sections to ease pressure on the patrons and ushers.

Plus the stadium members that don't show.

30,008 tonight. Utterly average.

30,018 but in what way average? Pissing down all day and a Sydney venue got 30k... Better than Sunday R1 Roosters/Souths in good weather...

Sydney had 3.4ml. Less than Brisbane had last Friday (4.4ml)...

Don't sensationalise Tim, any kind of rain will keep crowds away, don't say its pissing down all day unless it actually is haha. Regardless, any regular season 30k crowd looks good on paper.
