My understanding is that Coco Joy wasn't paying up for the sponsorship (so they were in breach of the sponsorship contract), and that so long as Manly kept wearing the Coco Joy name, it keeps it that way - ie Manly fulfilling their end of the contract by wearing it.

I guess the Manly lawyers see it as a shrewd move to keep the legal "high ground" while it's all under dispute. Anyone know when the contract ends?

Yeh, they wont find a new sponsor for their last 2 games and taking it off would damage their claim...

Their number font dates back to their Nike days (Brisbane had the same font), and has passed through blades and into the Canterbury era. Roosters only went to the NRL font this year I think?

Yep. My understanding is its mandatory but has been a staged conversion and the Bulldogs will be the last to go. AFL and A-League did it ages ago.

I preferred when they had their old club fonts. The new NRL number font is terrible.
