My understanding is that Coco Joy wasn't paying up for the sponsorship (so they were in breach of the sponsorship contract), and that so long as Manly kept wearing the Coco Joy name, it keeps it that way - ie Manly fulfilling their end of the contract by wearing it.
I guess the Manly lawyers see it as a shrewd move to keep the legal "high ground" while it's all under dispute. Anyone know when the contract ends?
Their number font dates back to their Nike days (Brisbane had the same font), and has passed through blades and into the Canterbury era. Roosters only went to the NRL font this year I think?Not entirely sure but I imagine this is the last season of it
I quite like the jersey, funnily enough. There's a tidiness to it that the sponsor section brings.
