If theres no real clash why do teams even need 2 jerseys? I would like souths to have had the 9s shirt as the away this year but why does there need to be a rule on a non issue like this? I've never watched souths and thought I can't tell who's who the shirts are very close.
I wouldn't say that lime green clashes with much but I don't have a problem with my team following the same rules that the other teams follow. What makes your team such a special snowflake that it can't follow the convention of most team sports around the world?
Two similar jerseys just adds another unnecessary jersey to the pile in the event there is a clash. I don't care if they have two identical jerseys with different sponsors, or sell fifty permutations of a single design as fan jerseys to the masses, just stop messing around with the on-field product.
And the argument that Souths are holding onto tradition just doesn't hold water until they stop shitting on their classic design with black/white panels and huge sponsor boxes. How do they keep screwing it up?
