Funny that because when I was diving up there it was all North Queensland shirts and stickers this was a few years ago as well.

One look at the Regional Tv ratings on FTA when NQ playing or the Super saturday Fox games with NQ playing and you can tell Cowboys have a huge following up there and it is yet to be fully capitalized on.

http://www.nrl.com/history-happens-as-clubs-hit-10000-mark/tabid/10874/newsid/97921/default.aspx

The NRL today announced that for the first time in history, all NRL Clubs have secured more than 10,000 members.

In addition, nine of 16 Clubs have registered record membership numbers, making 2016 the most successful Club membership season in history.

The Gold Coast Titans were the final Club to reach the 10,000 milestone after their strong run, which has seen them in the top eight at the half way mark of the competition.

At the commencement of Round 14, NRL Clubs have registered a combined total of close to 290,000 members, which is a 13 per cent increase at the same time in 2015.

NRL Chief Commercial Officer Michael Brown congratulated all Clubs on driving new memberships – which translate into bigger crowds, higher ratings and additional revenue for the Clubs.

"At the half-way mark of the regular season, our crowds are up, we have witnessed a fantastic first Holden State of Origin match and for the first time in history, every Club has registered 10,000 members," Mr Brown said.

"Our marketing and membership teams have been working very hard behind the scenes with all Clubs to ensure we are providing the best entertainment at affordable prices for every round and it is pleasing to see that our members are turning out in force."

With 13 rounds to go in the regular season, general public tickets go on sale today for the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final.

Fans are encouraged to take advantage of early-bird pricing to ensure they take their seats for history on the first Sunday in October.

Wow the membership drive is going well. Pity it is having little effect on crowd numbers. Though I shouldn't complain I'm a Souths season ticket holder and I'm lucky to make 4 games in the regular season.
