Yep based on team lists the Cowboys would easily be in the final 4 squads you would imagine. Warriors / Cowboys seems like the best match up on team lists. But Warriors always look like they should be the best and are yet to deliver.

cows team should have decent defensive cohesion considering how many regulars there are that are used to playing together. Is just as important as having attacking weapons

Good to see the Cowbs are deadly serious about the 9's and want to retrieve the trophy back off Souffs. Hard to believe it's been 2 years since we first won it.

Not being arrogant but considering the squad we have sent over, if they don't give this a good shake I will be very disappointed.

Those who have't seen Gideon Mosby play before, this kid is lightning fast, probably the fastest player we've ever had in 21 years.

And apparently, our second fastest is too young to be there. Going to be some serious speed in our u20's this year.

Would like to see the Warriors win it to give a bit of kick to the season over there.
But really just bloody happy to see some footy back on the telly and see some young blokes get a run and show their talent.

Agree. As much as people don't like the big names pulling out, I always enjoy seeing the youngsters run around. Throughout the year there's always talk from different fans about "we have this kid or that kid coming up through the grades". The Nines is a great platform to see them in action, often for the first time.

Looking forward to it.

Watching some of last year's tournament, some teams were full of first graders yet didn't perform, while some team with youngsters done well. Both sharks and the rabbitohs had a mix of rookies, fringe first graders, and stars. What makes a great 13 a side player good doesn't always translate to the 9s and vice versa. Younger players are also able to recover easier between games, a big bonus. While the focus is rightly on the nrl season, i think every team does take the 9s seriously and just because you don't recognise the names on the team sheets doesn't mean they arr sending substandard teams

This is the Cowboys comp to lose. Ridiculous squad with succesful knowledge of what works in the 9s. Pretty easy group to get out of aswell.

Warriors were expected to romp home easily in 2014-15. They've never even made a final. 9s will chuck in a few surprises
