How the fridge do the bookies have us as favourites. Pretty great value for Melbourne.

Got me stuffed too. Pretty much the only game each year for us where the most you expect is the cliched 80 minute effort.

Yeah I noticed that the other day, you would think maybe cause they're home but they've lost at home this year before.
Maybe because Kahu and McCollough are supposed to be back.

From NRL.COM

Broncos: Brisbane are set to reshuffle their line-up on Friday night, with Alex Glenn to shift to the centres and Kodi Nikorima to revert to his usual interchange hooker role. Jaydn Su'A looks set to start in the back row, while Joe Ofahengaue is almost certain to replace Travis Waddell on the bench.

Storm: Blake Green is a good chance to return in the halves, which would see Tohu Harris move back to the forwards after again being named at five-eighth on Tuesday. Cameron Munster is still a chance of taking to the field but is less likely to play.

This is shaping up as a huge game because if the Broncos lose they tumble down the 8 but if the Storm lose then their premiership rating comes down (they really should beat the Broncos, who have any number of injuries).
Cameron Munster being out/in might be the key.

Brisbane to be in the lead in the final minute only for Wallace to cough up a ball in his own 20 and storm score 2 plays later while the buzzer sounds

How many donkeys fans just shivered?

It wouldn't be Wallace - it would be Blair...

That's fully how I expect the game to end

Yes, it's a huge game for the Broncos should they lose because as you said their position in the 8 will go south. As for the Storm losing tonight is nowhere near on the same scale. Melbourne can't drop even one spot and worst case scenario is they'll still be second on the ladder at the rounds end regardless of a loss so will would hardly be the end of the world.

Not sure why it's a huge game in regards to their premiership 'rating' coming down. Is that in regards to betting odds, so called experts predictions or just your average fan who has an opinion on who will win the comp? None of those have absolutely any bearing on who will lift the trophy so i'm not sure what ratings has to do with anything. There's still a long long way to go in the season and any number of teams are well in the hunt, regardless of this rounds results.

Really agree with this.
Regular season is good appetizer for the finals and Storm could finish first and it would be mean absolute nothing if they didn't go all the way. That's just me
