It was.

Despite blowing an 18-0 lead faster than they got it, the Eels fought bravely & could've won in the end.

Gutsy from them!

Yes, I saw the defender legally tackle the attacker in mid air.

He actually tackled him without the ball ( before he hit it back )
You can't do that.
I reckon if it was a no try semi might have been penalised for it.

No, the non-kicking team is allowed to tackle the bloke in the air. The rule is to stop teams kicking it high to smash the receiving team in the air. But if you don't want your own player to get tackled in the air don't kick it high to him.

He is saying he would not of been penalised for tackling a player in mid air but for tackling a player who was yet to receive the ball.

No problem with the tackle in the air
He hit him before he'd got his hand to the ball.
Only just... but he basically tackled a bloke without the ball.

The guy got the tap back (forward?) so clearly he wasn't impeded by Radradra getting a position underneath him. If he'd been tackled before he got the ball he would've been over the sideline.

When the ball goes up you're allowed to get under it and look stupidly at it while it bounces away off your chest. Not played at is the call. Why should it be any different for a defender getting under an attacking bomb?

What the f**k are you babbling about?

What I was saying is semi tackled him before he got the ball
Whatever happens after that is beside the point
The ref let it play out.
If they didn't finally score maybe the ref could've gone back and penalised him for it.
You know that thing called the bunker with all video angles would probably have been used

Doesn't matter anyway because it was try
