Match Preview:
Wests Tigers v Titans preview
Jeff Dickinson-Fox | August 10 2016 8:34PM

Both the Wests Tigers and the Gold Coast Titans have the chance to crack the top eight when these teams clash on Saturday afternoon.

In a ninth versus tenth match-up desperation will start to show at Campbelltown Stadium as there is just four games remaining in the regular season.

For the Tigers the spotlight on the Robbie Farah and Jason Taylor feud has reduced as the Tigers have now won seven of their last ten games - their latest being a 26-14 win overJohnathan Thurston and the Cowboys which instilled noticeable pride and realistic hopes of reaching the finals. They won while Luke Brooks remains injured and with Farah out. David Nofoaluma turned in his best game of the season so far, racking up a massive 14 tackle breaks and over 200 metres. The pick of the forwards was Aaron Woods, he gave an inspiring effort which limited the impact of Matt Scott and James Tamou. Coach Taylor has named the identical line-up, hoping the same team can bring the same results.

For the Titans, especially their fans, they are still elated at the pickup of Jarryd Hayne. Even though the Gold Coast weren't able to pull off a win against the New Zealand Warriors at home last Sunday, the effort the team gave in the past two weeks has been encouraging. Greg Bird especially was on the short list for man of the match against the Warriors and in the draw against the Cronulla Sharks.

Tigers to nibble on the Tits.No doubt the Tits will ge milking for penalties, but the resolve that the Tigers are truly famous for will see them through by 12.

I see what you did there... Well played sir *thumbsup*

I think Tigers will pull away from the Titans in the first half, with the Titans running in a few late ones to make it close - Should be a good game.

If the Titans are rolled in this one they can only reach 29 points. It may not be enough. The one point advantage means the Tiges aren't quite in the same boat but their backs will be fair and square against the wall if they lose. I'd go so far as to say the loser of this is pretty much fooked for 2016, the other two sides in the running for 7 and 8 having friendlier draws.

reports that luke brooks will be a late inclusion. would be very surprising if true as he will only miss 1 week of a 3-5 week injury. littlejohn isnt amazing but i thought he did what was required last week (except for a bad miss on lowe for the cows last try). with three very tough games to go id give brooks another week off

We beat the Tigers pretty comfortably at Campbelltown last year though given whats at stake for both teams it's going to be much tougher this time round.

If true I'd like to see Littlejohn used as utility off the bench replacing Lovett (will never happen)

But yeah not a fan either, he only started running what 3 days ago? Bring him back next week.

Wests have said there are only 215 reserved seats left available

Should be an amazing atmosphere tomorrow, can't wait!
